5 Cheap Dinners for College Students

By   |  April 19, 2011

I was a college student once, and I knew how broke people could be.  Trust me, ramen noodles got really old after the 2 weeks.  I wanted to show you some of my simple recipes that work for a lot of students, and they can be done for less than $5 a dinner.  Gather up a few friends, and you can get this accomplished for about $2 a person!

Yes, these all seem like simple recipes, but I also want to give you some more cost saving tips when it comes to your dinners.

Eating doesn’t have to be cheap.  Try out some of these tips, and simple recipes, and see how much you can save.  If you want to catch more of my tips, and recipes, be sure to check out more of my work over on my college student blog.

  1. I like chicken!!

  2. Ive been in college for two years and have enjoyed all five of your cheap dinners many times! I would also like to suggest Grilled Peanut Butter as a little healthier alternative to grilled cheese. You make it exactly the same way, except with peanut butter which gives you some healthy fats and of course protein. I would have to say grilled peanut butter and, pasta and sauce are my two favorite and most common dishes in college so far!
