3 Student Reviews of Sage College of Albany

  • This school was the worst decision I have ever made (and I am serious when I say that). The variety of classes was laughable, many of the teachers were airheads, the campus was depressing, the surrounding city was ugly and drab, the other students were less than welcoming, the food was terrible, and everything was expensive to boot. I feel stupid for falling for their bs, and attending in the first place, but I was sure to be out of there as soon as possible. I hope this lousy school closes down. It doesn’t deserve anyone’s money or time.

  • A pissed off Sage College of Albany Review.
I’m glad I’m leaving year next. If I had a choice to start all over again, I would not choose Sage College of Albany.

Student Life Director Michael Duignan is a d*******g
    His contact info:

Majority of your classes will be cancelled due to small enrollment size. There are many adjuncts and not enough permanent faculty members. So, you’ll be taught by someone who teaches at possibly three other colleges, good luck trying to contact them.

Watch out for the fake ass Student Government, who is just a bunch of low self esteem students, trying to smooch off the funds and make their selves feel good.

    Grade inflation happens frequently.

  • This was *the* worst possible college experience I could have had. The food is terrible, the teachers (with few exceptions) are off less than average intelligence and with attitudes to match, and the housing is abhorrent. When I say the food is bad that is an understatement– the students working in the kitchen do a terrible job and then they overcharge you. Every building is old and dirty, and the walls are paper thin in the dorms. There is plenty of drinking and drugs on campus, even though the assure new students that it will not be tolerated, and the RA’s are willing participants. I found about a dozen vodka bottles in my ceiling, and the whole room reeked.

The students treat the dorms like crap, and the stench and stains prove it. People piss on the floor, throw food on the walls in the lounge, and once I even went to pick up the remote and realized someone had put a condom on it. There is always trash everywhere, and there is mold on the bathroom walls.

Until about 3 or 4 AM, the dorms are unbelievably noisy, and people often run around screaming and banging into things without regard. I am the ONLY white person on my floor, and I get picked on terribly for it. When I ask them to be quieter, seeing as it’s past midnight, I get laughed at and chased away. I do NOT feel safe here. I have been attacked numerous times, and NO ONE has been punished. It is about 90% black students, and YES that makes a difference because they are all from the city and do NOT tolerate difference well. The surrounding area is basically the ghetto– I stopped leaving campus after being repeatedly stalked by homeless people, crack heads, and other various people of questionable status. I have used a rape whistle, and I have had to run.

Even my advisor treats me like crap, and repeatedly insults me in her e-mails (her name is Mrs. Fitzsimmons– Look out for her!!) The RD is a little pussy who doesn’t know how to stand up to the students so he’s no help. Oh yeah, and the cafeteria closes on snow days, so If you’re a resident during the winter, you WILL be going to bed hungry on many occasions.

I can’t begin to explain everything– I only hope people who want to take their education seriously read this before they decide to go to Sage. Hopefully, it will be exposed as the crap-shack that it is.

    FYI, I’m a straight A student, and I’m 100% serious.
