One student review of Bridgewater State College

  • L. Steven Beene II says:

It’s a good school in many respects, but it’s got serious limitations for the “full college experience”.

First the campus is divided by railroad tracks and makes getting from dorms/classes on one side hard to get to the dorms/classes on the other side. There is a bridge over the tracks, but it’s Massachusetts, and in winter on a bridge bottleneck to hump all your stuff to classes and then back – not fun.

Second, the school is INFECTED by Political Correctness. If you are male or heterosexual or white or straight or Christian or conservative (God forbid more than one) you will be told over and over, in many classes, that you “owe” people in the name of “social justice”. It’s great in the classes where teachers TEACH the course they are supposed to, but other classes are bully pulpits (with your grades as hostage) if you don’t want to be indoctrinated.

Dorm life is ok, and there are a couple of bars, but it’s a “suit case” college, where 1/2 the student body leaves every night to go home and the dorm nazis patrol vigorously.

It’s a GREAT civil aviation school if you want to be a pilot.

    Overall Score: (2.18/5.00)
