9 student reviews of Arizona State University: Tempe

  • Mr. says:

This school has some of the most beautiful women on the planet and some of the most party oriented student body available. That is why it is so hard for the typical student to graduate in 4 years. They have comprehensive and challenging programs. Most of the professors are top notch especially once one gets into the upper division classes. Although, I would say that 1 out of every 5 professors should not be teaching at the college level. The downside is the internal organization is terribly slow, and if not checked constantly will usually put you at some sort of disadvantage. However, the programs are great and one can get what they are looking for in education. It is simply a measure of how much effort you are willing to pour into your studies.

Holy crap, engineering has more Indians than the black hole of Calcutta.

An overpopulated state university with a 4-year graduation rate of 29% and a 6-year graduation rate of less than 60%, Arizona State is no bargain for its students. A *LONG* graduate school tenure in the College of Engineering netted me a worthless diploma and NO JOBS. Not one. Zero. Not only was ASU completely unhelpful with my career preparation, it took my time and money while maximizing its profit. In addition I found ASU to be an irresponsible and less than grateful employer.
The state of Arizona ought to start considering the possibility that ASU is actually an obstacle to the development of the state’s work force.

A ridiculously badly-run operation designed to relieve Arizona residents of their tax dollars while reducing their educational outcomes and economic opportunities, Arizona State University is a career-destroying scam that provides no value for money. Special alarms go out to prospective students of the College of Engineering, which became a well-known diploma mill for India some years ago. Between instructors who perpetrate student abuse in the name of “social justice,” plagiarism and cheating scandals that are covered up EVERY SEMESTER, “rescheduled classes” and required classes not offered for years on end, legitimate students have no place in this sh*thole and would be best advised to seek education elsewhere. It’s only a matter of time before their accreditation goes.
