Free speech is not tolerated if it conflicts with their ideas. They WILL expel you if you speak your mind and your mind disagrees with their perception of the Bible.
40-minute chapel/sermons daily.
Any required activity such as chapel that is missed results in hefty demerits. 150 demerits gets you kicked out. So if you skipped chapel 3 times in a year, bye-bye baby.
Instead of Spring Break, students attend a weekly Bible Conference where they are forced to listen to old fuddy duddy fundamentalist preachers from around the world. None under the age of 40.
School’s new president has no educational administration background.
The only good part of this school is the arts. They have a museum on-site that is incredible (if you overlook how they acquired it aka stealing from Holocaust victims. I worked there. It’s true.)
They also have artist series programs which is the only incredible part of this university. Very classy. Very well done.
Overall 1/5 stars. They’re hypocritical fundys looking to squelch free speech and using God as an excuse.
Also campus security is mainly to keep students in, not bad guys out. School administration is under investigation for covering up student rape and also covering up cases of stalking (with a knife). Not a safe place for your girls.
