BSU has suffered from countless assaults from all directions, but I must attest to the fact that I have had only a wholesome experience during my studies as I pursued my PhD. I have attended several colleges and universities during my endeavors. BSU’s staff/instructors are just as knowledgeable, more caring, and consistently student-focused. The college experience that many refer to often includes classes where you do not learn anything because the instructor does not have the experience or knowledge to teach the course, the student is looking for the ah ha moment where he/she feels on top of the world surrounding by academia. Sorry, that is not the real world. The real world requires real experience and knowledge to transcend the “good-ole-boys” and apply real down to earth strategies. So, at least for me, BSU allowed me to fulfill my personal goals without the stupidity often found in that “college experience.” If you want to drink, smoke out, miss classes and waste your family’s money….then go to those schools where bigoted self-centered instructors are who care nothing for you personally…….
I went to BSU for 1 year and then had to drop out. The lecturers were very uninspiring and the atmosphere of the campus felt like a retirement home. To go to college means to have a college experience and BSU does not suffice. It’s in the city, there is no greek housing, and half the people who go there live in their parents house.
At least they can play football..
