  • Well first the fi aid is a hot mess, no one was ever sure, after you signed the line. I am on Voc Rehab V.A.. So you would think that they would leave my Grants alone, Nope they go through and they take tthe grants on week two then they bill the V.A. Then Week nine of a 11 week semester. I get my Grants back. They pay out through a check which takes days thought they accept electronic payments they refuse to pay out electronic.

Second I am in a Medical Assitant program, and I am in class with people who work in geriatrics and disabled people. If you are sick with an exscuse. You will llose the points for the day and if there are quizzes, you lose those points, and absolutley can not make them up or take them. Even on an open book quiz that you take online in class they will NOT let you take it out of class

Third the dates due on the syllabus are not always clear, one thing that is due may be posted in march in stead of feb, it may not even appear due on the portal on things due. Cant argue you just lose the points.

Fourth they make you buy a Ipad air that is useless for most assignments, but the books are online no text books, so you have to have Inet acess at home, and another computer to complete asignments. the Ipad air cost 600.00 but you can access the books on any pad laptop or computer. You have to buy it. I never use it it is uslesss to me. You need to us Microsoft word programs for classes and the Ipad is just something else to carry with your laptop. they have plenty of PCs availiable, but I just prefer to save things to my drive and not be bothered with thumb drives. It makes it easier to highlight and save notes to a word progam.

I am almost done but wish I never started. I lost points in all my classes because I am home sick today with a fever and my heart rate is through the roof, but hey no exscuses and no make up work. Even if you have Doctors note and over a 3.0 average. I just watch my B drop to a D in one class. I have to have a B in the class or Ihave to take it over.

    Worst mistake of my life.

  • Im glad to find a review site that has honest student reviews other than intermixed ones that are obviously placed by the school themselves to bring scores up! Thank you!
This school has been sued mutiple times by employees, students, and even the Attorney General! This statement alone should tell you about these schools and what they are.
The Chief Operating Officer got rid of all the program experts and kept all the marketing, admissions, and business people so all the programs are out of date, no current direction, no program growth, and no education standards. NO EDUCATION STANDARDS…..at a “school”????
They hire anyone as an instructor. Many times a former graduate from the previous year. No instructor is given any help or education in how to teach. They try but are not supported by the idiots running these schools.
WE CARE…….about profits, at the expense of students and eemployees. This should be their complete slogan.
If you do not want to be in debt the rest of your life for a worthless degree, DO NOT GO HERE!
Don’t listen to the psychological sales pitches! TELL YOUR FRIENDS-SAVE THEM!

  • PLEASE DO NOT ATTEND GLOBE UNIVERSITY. The downtown Minneapolis campus is an especially bad campus to choose. The campus director is a NOT an educator; he is only interested in taking your money. This man is NOT a qualified higher education administrator; he only has a bachelor’s degree, has never taught a class, and lacks an understanding of the mission of higher education. As the campus “leader” he sets the tone for the complete lack of quality instruction, quality course materials and equipment, and the overall experience of being a car lot; one that sells defective cars at inflated prices. PLEASE do not listen to the recruiters; they are paid to read a script that is filled with misrepresentations. The employees are not bad people; they are simply working in an environment that is focused on profit, not education. Your credits earned at Globe will likely NOT transfer to any accreditated college or university except for Globe. That’s just one of the ways they trick you. Many graduate programs will not accept your bachelor’s degree from Globe. Many employers know that the curriculum, the courses, the training, the equipment, some of the instructors etc. used at Globe University are out-of-date, ill-conceived, and poorly taught. A university education is a privilege that requires a serious investment in time, energy, and money. Please respect yourself, your education, and your career enough to attend a high quality public or private NON-PROFIT college or university.

  • I attended this college staring in the summer of 2007. I signed up as a single mother for the Bachelor of I.T program since the associates wages could not compare to my employment wages at that time. The recruiter and I talked it through and decided I should go for it but I could only do this part time.
My first mistake was to take an I.T course from this school with its outdated material. My second mistake was to think going for a bachelors in the I.T. field as a part time student would be smart. MSB should not even think of allowing a student in I.T to enroll into outdated materials with six years remaining of education. If they were honorable they would have recommended a different strategy plan from day one.
Never the less, I maintained a 3.94 GPA and completed approximately 70 credits in 3 years without guidance before the school contacted me by recommending I start taking 3 – 4 courses at a time to complete my degree in time and that I would need to start finding alternative ways to pay for school since my government funding was insufficient to complete my degree. This news was all brought to me when our economy was suffering the most. I had taken a $10,000.00 a year pay cut for some time and I had to sell my home as a short-sale. I knew I could not afford to keep things up so I re-routed to an associates degree so I would not leave school without a degree.
However, because of the way this school works they would not apply my courses to the lower level of the associates. I was 3 classes from my associate’s degree and I asked about equivalents that I know for fact were used with other students to obtain their degrees. They refused to substitute however for me. These last courses were then needed to be paid out of pocket which was not possible and my credit was hurting from the short-sale to get a loan at an acceptable rate so I dropped the classes intending to go back.
When I went back to the school again, the 3 courses turned into 5. I have completed 120 credits with this school and still do not have my bachelors or even my associate’s degree.
As much of a waste of money (and TIME spent away from my daughter) this is; I realized it is a bigger waste to continue going for my associate degree needing $8,000.00 or more with training on outdated materials to make $40,000 a year with almost $75,000.00 in debt. If I wanted to ever get my bachelors with this school, I would have to pay for 20 extra credits at the end of that term as well. To me; it makes more sense going back to a community college for a $16,000 degree start to finish with current materials and then maybe transferring to the school of my choice to complete the degree. I say this because transferring MSB credits is also a joke to many of the schools I talk to with the exception of Phoenix which I would worry would end up the same situation again.

  • The University is absolutely waste of money. Lot of racists are working in this university. People only go for the sake of the Degree. Staff is horrible. The people wants to make money and not at all interested in teaching. I think this University needs to be exposed for what they are and how they deal with the students. They are PATHETIC people, very rude and absolutely from marketing background. They will NOT help Students instead they will see where students are making mistakes and how we can charge thousands of dollars from them. I WILL NOT RECOMMEND A SINGLE PERSON to this third class university. This university has no class…. Careless, ruthless, reckless, horrible office staff. The office girls only know how to wear party wear dress and go to the restroom, do make and sit. However seniors are TOO worst than the junior staff. Anybody and everybody is called as Director in this university.Serious action should be taken.

  • The first few years attending this school was alright, but then they raised their tuition extremely high and everything went down hill. Student’s going for a bachelor’s degree now have to pay $70,000-$85,000 for their degree! From my experience with GU, their tuition is extremely high so they can get as much financial aid from the government as possible, then leave students with excessively high debts. GU financial department is a joke and they refuse to connect with their students once student’s Pell-Grants or other forms of assistance runs out, instead they send out a letter two weeks before classes start stating you have to come up with a large sum of money to pay for their tuition.(This happened to me) I guarantee, I am not the only student at GU that is currently going through a similar situation. I already have over $30,000 dollars in school loan debt, no degree, and unable to make the large monthly payment they are expecting me to make, and the Financial Aid office wont return my calls. I am going to be forced with a high loan debt and no degree if GU don’t start stepping up! This University is money hungry! They do not care about their students in any way, all they want is their money. Only a handful of teachers at GU are fantastic teachers, the other teachers do not know how to teach their students and are uneducated. I seriously think this University needs to be exposed for what they are, and someone needs to stop them from wrongfully deceiving their students

  • In the criminal justice course in wisconsin and they are deciding to cancel the program at the end of this year!!! I just started last year but I guess they’re working to have any college transfer over so as soon as that happens i’m gone!!! I will go somewhere else that they don’t charge a huge amount of money for the same education!! Don’t go here it’s a money pit!

  • I can honestly say I hate this school. Now that the got me in my first time, had me take out loans for their overpriced credits and halfway through second term they’re suddenly inflexible and unaccommodating. They aren’t nearly as flexible as they say and it’s way expensive!!! Do NOT go to this school!

  • I currently attend Minnesota School of Business/Globe University. This was the biggest waste of time, money and dedication I every thought possible in my life. I was lied to on so many levels and they are just trying to cover it up. I am 5 classes from graduating and had to take a couple quarters off to get back on my feet. Now the are threatening to expel me! I was an honor roll student and they don’t care. Unless I find a good lawyer I am totally broke for good. Never ever send your kids, or yourself here unless you want depression and a big bill.

  • These comments are not made by competitors. I wasted over 2 years of my life and close to 80k completing my “degree” here. I was dumb enough to be fooled by the finish your degree faster. More like it’s 107 or so credits for your degree vs. 60-70 for one at a community college so you’re not finishing sooner, unless you pack on 16-24 credits a quarter and we get to bill you 3-4 times a year instead of 2-3. It was the biggest mistake of my life. Not only did they do nothing to help me find a job, the job search e-mails they send out are copy and pasted from other job search sites! Ha. It took me almost 2 years to find a part-time job. Nothing I can pay my loans back on so in the mean time I’m going to a local community college beefing up my resume with something useful and keeping my loans deferred. If it wasn’t for my husband having an amazing job we’d be screwed, but just thinking about my loan amounts and how the payment is going to be bigger then our mortgage makes me sick. This school has financially destroyed me.

  • This school makes me so mad! I am a vet tech student and have been going part time since I stay home to watch my son, and work part time in an animal hospital. I was just told that because I am part time the tution per credit is higher!!! They have no flexibility and no feelings. I HATE this school, but I am too close to graduating to change now. Do NOT go to this school.

  • I just want everyone to know that this school is a crock of s**t. The are only a selected few people that you can trust at this school…. Arron the librarian, Jen the writing teacher/ paralegal, Kurt the math teacher and Cindy who is an instructor for the vet tech program and the only other person that you can trust is Becca the chair.

This school is a joke and they know how to rip people off by taking more money then they owe. I just got expelled form Globe because my teacher lost my paper for my final and that is bullshit when I have people that seen me turn in the PAPER. They think that they are going to get away with ripping more people off well I am informing people that i ATTEND school with to leave as soon as they can before it is to late.

I hope that they know how to lie their way through court when I have the proof that I turned all of my work in on time..

One last thing i do not care if you find this offensive towards your school but you can f**k yourself… I am pissed off and I am not going to stop until I get the money back that I wasted on a school that expelled me.

tares this all you want because I do not care if you come after me because you will be the ones going down not me.

They say, “successful futures start here.” What a bunch of bunk! Buyer beware!!!!

  • I am a current student at Globe in Wisconsin. I just found out that some of the classes that I am taking are no good. I received an email yesterday that stated that the laws here in Wisconsin are changing and that Medical Assistants are no longer allowed to take X Rays. Globe teaches Radiology 1 and Radiology 2. I am currently in Radiology 1, and when I asked if I would be able to get my money back for the course, because it is useless to me now, I was told no and that it was still part of my degree. Now that they are no longer teaching Radiology at Globe, they are making students take two new courses and charging even more money! To top it all off… Globe knew that the laws were changing at the beginning of the quarter and STILL made me take Radiology 1. I am interested in seeing what I can do about this legally.
