One of the biggest disappointments is the lack of connections and support in finding internships or job placements. Despite being an international university, they have no affiliations or networks that can aid students in securing valuable work experience. It appears that they are solely focused on collecting tuition fees without providing the necessary resources to help students succeed.
Furthermore, the supposed professionals at IUM are nothing more than money-hungry individuals with no passion for education. They do not possess the expertise or dedication necessary for providing a quality learning experience. It’s evident that their primary agenda is to squeeze every last penny out of their students.
To add insult to injury, the university places more importance on frivolous activities and parties organized by student associations than genuine academic pursuits. They pressure students to pay additional fees just to attend these social events, rather than investing in their education. It’s disheartening to see their lack of focus on intellectual growth and development.
Taking all these factors into consideration, I strongly advise against enrolling in this money-grabbing institution. Look elsewhere for a university that genuinely values its students, offers comprehensive support, and prioritizes academic excellence over monetary gain. The International University of Monaco is simply not worth your time or investment.
+ Small university with a really good professor / student ratio
+ High quality professors (many of the arrived from really reputable universities or are as well teaching in other such institutions as for example EDHEC)
+ Very international, students are coming from all over the world, with a focus on French and Italians
– Career service could do better
– Housing is in and around Monaco really expensive, more affordable to live in Nice
Overall I can recommend the university. For sure there are some factors for improvements but as a whole it was a good experience for me and I could learn a lot and make many friends. Many of my cohort went after IUM for the graduate degree at universities such as ESADE, LSE, LBS etc.
