You’re crazy to attend here. Period. This is where really bad professors come to retire. Almost 8 weeks into the semester with no financial aid in sight-currently being told it will be another 8 WEEKS. That means I will get the financial aid I need to attend this school AFTER the semester is finished. I am in the gunsmithing program. The machines we use are poorly maintained at best and you routinely get harassed by second year students that are repeating the class because they FAILED the year before. They expect front of the line privileges. The part that will really impress you is that the outrageously unprofessional instructors agree with this mindset. Welcome to Lord of the Flies. The only industry knowledge/education the instructors have is from this very school-and that’s it. They claim to “work outside the classroom” but none of them can actually prove it. The small town this school is located in is beyond depressing. Population 17,000- what the sign doesn’t say is that 10,000 of that is in the local state prisons. The academics are a total joke. I’m new to college level stuff but know a person with a master’s degree. She looked at the few gen ed classes I took and said it should be a crime the college is giving these classes, because they were so easy. She said anyone prepared like this that wants to transfer to a real university better get ready to fail, because that’s exactly what will happen. This school was already put on probation once as far as it’s mismanagement of financial aid. It is only a matter of time before they lose it for good and then this place will cease to exist. I actually moved here for this school. Now I am scrambing to get out of here even if it means starting over somewhere else from scratch. Sent a letter to the school President…didn’t get so much as a form letter back. If I can save one single person from falling for the nice looking college catalog I will consider this post a success.
