One student review of Newman University: Wichita

  • Amy says:

I’m not sure what the “refused cooperation” tag in red means, but I just wanted to say that I had a very good experience at Newman. I graduated in ’85 and went on to medical school (KU Med) and now work at a great family practice. Newman’s a small university, and a lot of the students there were in a situation similar to mine: they were from rural Kansas and didn’t want to go too far from home, but they wanted an affordable, high-quality education. When I graduated, upwards of 90% of pre-med students were accepted to medical school. Though it’s a private university (and thus, it’s going to be more expensive than public), its tuition is actually cheaper than many public universities’ out-of-state tuition. I enjoyed small classes, knowing my professors well, and being in an area that was a pleasant balance of “big enough to have good labs” and “small enough that it wasn’t overwhelming for a small-town kid.”
    Overall Score: (4.10/5.00)
