I couldn’t help but notice that this college is mainly international students from India. I travel on the Finch Express bus and when the bus stops at Seneca College Loop, it feels like a crowded train station in India.
As soon as the doors open, it’s like chaos with everyone storming into the bus like water from a burst pipe.
You just can’t benefit from enrolling as a Canadian student, because the GTA colleges are using international students as cash cows and international students are flooding the colleges just to get permanent residency.
Trudeau wants to open the floodgates and make Canada into one huge Asian slum where everyone pays Manhattan prices for rent, but get the quality of life like a crowded slum.
Nothing wrong with studying abroad, or studying in Canada. However, these colleges are a gateway to cheat the immigration system.

I know of people with college diplomas who are only offered unpaid internships (working for zero dollars), and they still have this predicament studying for post-grad, due to the stigma of the college diploma.
My high school guidance counsellor told us that every HS guidance counsellor would advise for a 4 year university degree, but he was the only one to say that colleges have a higher chance of getting a job.
But six years later, this is no longer the case.
Employers appear to toss resumes away if they see college diplomas from Seneca and Centennial College.

A note to all prospective students, domestic and international alike: if you’re considering to attend Seneca, just make sure that you choose a course of study that makes sense unless you can afford to study for pleasure. Choose a program that adds value; a program that makes you employable. There are plenty of solid programs that this college offers, but at the same time, there are many which are questionable as well. For reference, the vast majority of the students who graduated in my class found a job within our field in about 6 months. Granted, we all had a Bachelor’s degree prior to attending this school, but still.

Even though shuttle bus schedules are made based off of student timetables. Buses have a 30 minute departure/arrival gap. So if you have a class at newham that ends at 11:35am, a class at Markham at 12:35pm and don’t drive, you better hope the bus schedule is for you or else…
When it comes to a class schedule, some classes have 2 days per week and some have 1 per week. Yes, the college does offer online courses, but you better get them quick(especially Gen Ed courses)
When it comes to choosing a “professional option course” My program had 3 options, 2 of them were MILE options, while one(take this one if you don’t want to waste hundreds to thousands of dollars) was within the 200 series, continuation of the 100 series’s computer course that introduced students to Microsoft word and other basic programs.
For the housing situation, if it’s talking about living in the dorms, I don’t have an opinion because I don’t live at the dorms…
If you want good professors(let’s take Markham for example) Philip Hamilton taught my Reality Tourism course, while he was somewhat of a hard marker, he is quite nice. Taking a customer service course? Adam Nardi is the one(His classes are also good)
If you are taking Heather Metcalfe’s Tourism Operations or any class she teaches(pick someone else)..My goodness am I in a class or listening to a youtuber who intentionally goes on for a long time because they only care about money/they aren’t good at what they are doing..In her Tourism Operations class, she had 3 slides(as a welcome to the course) and held up the class, past 5 minutes when the class was suppose to end(That would explain why her class was a double block)
For a mediocre professor that’s still tolerable. Paul Chan is quite forgivable. AME learning is what he used..gotta get used it to.
I at least have to give most of the profs credit for having actual jobs outside campus(so they have more of a clue of what they are talking about but some like Heather…thumbs down)
When it comes to course time, classes are usually 2-3.5 hours for Newham and Markham. Gen Ed coures at Newham are usually like an hour and 30 minutes.
When it come to customer service via email, sometimes they will take ages to respond or never. I had a positive response back when I was applying for Seneca(probably due to the fact it was a time when high school students were applying)
When it came to Markham’s food. Lining up at the campus’s Tim’s can go beyond your break time. On average, Markham profs give 10 minute breaks, you’ll be taking up seconds to 2 minutes to get downstairs(assuming you are a fast one and not taking the elevator) The line up and service at Markham’s Tim’s causes the line to hold up, most I’ve experienced was waiting in total(from line up to pick up) 20 minutes, average is 15 minutes(from ordering to pick up)
But I gotta give Markham campus credit for being safe and easy to apply courses, it’s also easy to navigate around Markham campus because it’s an office building(Markham and Newham are pretty easy to find classes, not sure about York and King) left over from Allstate. Yeah, Markham doesn’t have an feminist profs as far as it seems. The chances of experiencing racism is low and you’ll probably not catch it. The washrooms are quite clean, low chance of seeing something that would ruin your hunger.
The typical process to get into a Tourism/Hospitality course doesn’t care about your grades, as long as you passed them and on your high school transcript, you’re eligible to be tested. Once tested, you’ll be placed in the English and math course based on your level. If you want a good semester 1, do well on English and throw the math section of the program test so you can get basic math for semester 1(If you are bad a math, do that. If you are good at accounting, do well and get accounting on semester 1) The typical tourism program really ruins you starting semester 2, if you aren’t good at accounting. Does Seneca want you to maintain a certain grade to remain a class, like university or actual colleges? Nope.
What are students like from my experience? I mostly came across students who didn’t do well at a previous college/uni, so they came here for the remainder of their education. But there’s still a good ratio of students that are straight out of high school and enjoy it here. I can agree on the argument that some of us came here because other colleges/universities look for grades, it’s quite true.
Tuition and fees? Some courses do recommend you buying textbooks(some profs do use them a lot while some don’t,some profs charge you(you pay them cash) for an online copy of the study guide) Each semester’s Tuition is like 1000ish..
Textbooks sold at Newham’s bookstore on average for rent is like 30 dollars. For purchase it’s around 100-150 dollars.
Anything bad about Markham campus? Sometimes the keyboards aren’t replaced or fixed.
The genders studies courses are a joke because the professor is a man hating feminist.
In Seneca@york’s open lab in the DB building. There will almost always be people in the back and chances are they will always be the same people there. Here is a tip don’t hang out with them because most of them failed and are failing. One of which has failed WIN210 3 times and somehow has not learned his lesson yet.
So remember don’t go into acting because that leads to a dead end. Liberal arts is useless and is a joke.

Got a phone call from the registrar’s office, but they didn’t leave a message. No contact via my school email either. I tried calling them back but was routed through many levels of voice mail, some of which ended in making a selection that told me “this number doesn’t exist”. Many departments fall under the umbrella of ‘registrar stuff’, and since they didn’t even bother to leave a message explaining which department called, I had no idea which voice mail prompts to follow, hence the above ‘guessing game’.
I went to them in person to try to figure it out and they said that since it’s all the same number, they don’t know how to find out who called me. So I have no idea what they want or why, and can’t take action to fix anything if there is a problem since they won’t communicate with me.
Additionally, I am disabled and need a very simple to implement accommodation. The accessibility office said okay (and let me remind able people that one needs to get a doctor to fill out a form to even make an appointment at the accessibility office, then the accessibility people get to decide if you get accommodations). However, I was then informed by the prof that I couldn’t get the accommodation because ‘that’s not how we do things in this program’. The accessibility office forwarded me the email and seems to be okay with the non-response by faculty.
Another student was also denied accommodations in class today.
Finally, a few profs speak very rudely to the students, and shame them in class for not understanding things. I am too intimidated to approach my profs to discuss my accommodation needs further (not that they need any further information, as everything they have a right to know has been provided…).
I am deciding whether or not to drop out because it is taking more time and energy to deal with ridiculous policies, rude staff, and clueless administration than it is to actually deal with classes, and my disability means that I do not, in fact, come with endless energy.

I paid my tuition to get a service not to be yelled by an ignorant Chinese man that does not even speak English well. Why we, as a students have to learn English to certain level in order to attend classes; when certain professors do not speak English at all??
BTW, business 411 never contact me, and when they changed me to an other professor; he already knew that I was a “problem” so he was less than helpful.
And do not get me started with the administrative; they do not even want to answer the phone, and if they do they would send you to and other person that would be annoyed because you are bothering her.
Seneca, is the waiting room for immigration proposes, if you want to learn go to an other college; do your due diligence, and DO NOT GO TO SENECA.
Administration (most people who don’t teach or push a mop): too busy playing politics and competing for a higher position on the power ladder. This bureaucracy is run solely on fear as the upper levels try to keep everyone else in line. Slava Corn is the personification of this statement. Likely this is how Trump University would have turned out if it had survived. Cutting administration by 50% and making the remainder actually work for a living (like the rest of us do) would be a great start.
Teachers: Essentially all the incompetent bottom feeders none of the colleges/universities would hire. You’ll find a vast selection of personality disorders amongst this crowd if not outright mental illness. Read the other posts here for an accurate account of this point.
Seneca is so image oriented with a pretty facade but neglected to rework the content within the walls. Your courses won’t prepare or qualify you for much. Think about the old story of the university grad who had to work as a waiter after graduation and you’ll have a good idea as to your future. Could never figure out how Ontario colleges could ethically crank out thousands of grads a year for only a few dozen jobs that will actually be available.
Lastly, the office which deal with aboriginal/inuit students: The lights are off and nobody’s home for about 355 days of the year but is in place because Seneca wants to look politically correct.
Gee, sure hope nobody goes through the accounting books from way back to find out how Seneca really paid for that Dragon Boat. It’s amazing what a few re-allocated numbers can do (legal or not).

Story time? Story time. Intimidation via position. Just because someone is sitting behind a fancy desk doesn’t mean what they’re saying makes any sense. Just because someone is called “professor” doesn’t mean they are worth listening to. Personally, I can’t force myself to listen to someone who I don’t think knows what they are talking about.Remember the story I posted about my Alternative Dispute Resolution professor being dumb back in second semester? The one who seemed to think he was teaching kids.
I met with my program co-ordinator after and told her I’d be dropping the course. She was surprised because no one had ever dropped a course that quickly. Being the patronizing person she was back then I felt it was a waste of time. She actually asked me if I knew what “visceral” meant in relation to my reaction. She pointed out many probably dislike her when she teaches that course. I responded by asking her if I had to remind her how important influence was to how one communicates. [Why would I want others to react to me the way I reacted to her?] She told me he probably wouldn’t even remember my name and that I should forget about it. I said that his not remembering my name was part of the problem. She said I should trust her that he was a good teacher I said I really didn’t know about that. She pleaded but I was pissed. She said it wouldn’t be worth paying a second time for the course, I said it wasn’t worth the headache or anxiety- I wasn’t going to be held hostage for 300 bucks. She said I was a good student and many have already dropped out. All I could think was, “No duh I wonder why?” I told her I wasn’t going to fail for “this guy’s ego.” and left after she got me to agree to attend that class for a month.
I met with my Dad and Grandfather (both now dead) and asked them what to do. They said I had the power and I was going to have to take responsibility for whatever I did, and that choice was up to me. It was the correct advice. You can’t offload your decisions which is what I would have done by just doing whatever they would have done. I sent her this letter later, after dropping the course. Remember, this is all after one class with the joker professor—this is how pissed I was;
“Professor [coordinator]
I have decided to drop LGL201DD from my schedule in order to take it at a future time. Almost everyone I’ve spoken to has agreed with you in saying I should simply stick it out, but no one has been able to offer a logical reason to do so. I have decided the cons of continuing to attend the class under Professor [dumb] far outweigh the pros.
I have studied communication and techniques and models for interacting with other people before and in fact, I was personally mentored by a therapist and relationship expert [mentor] for years when I was growing up. I feel it would be insulting to my old teachers in this field for me to even pretend to be the pupil of a guy like [idiot] who, suffice it to say, is not currently in a position to teach me about how to communicate. Furthermore it would be hypocritical for me to expect to be addressed as an adult and then voluntarily put myself in a room controlled by a person who is not emotionally mature. This point alone is enough for me. After all, if I saw him speaking to anyone else, YOU for example, sternly for no reason (other than attention perhaps?) I would be equally as offended and embarrassed as a man.
Without question I have met some of the best teachers and administrators I have ever encountered at Seneca which is why it’s a shame I happened to get him this semester. While I believe you’re correct in saying I will have to tolerate people I don’t like (as I have many times, having been employed full-time before) I see no reason to do so when I don’t have to. I don’t envy you for having to work with him, but I am glad I do not.
My sincerest thanks for your advice in this matter and of course for your time- If you read all this I would say you have invested more than enough! I know I agreed to stay in the class for a month, but I hope not it’s clear that, that would be impossible for me to do and simultaneously retain integrity. I hope you have a pleasant weekend.

I didn’t sign up to play games with fully grown adults. I was there for a specific reason: to get a diploma. And it looked like that was going to be hard enough without interference by people being paid to be there. I’M STILL HAVING STRESS DREAMS ABOUT EXAMS. Still, I fully expected this to be ignored. Maybe skimmed before being deleted, MAYBE. Instead it sent fucking shock waves through the program.
Keep in mind all my professors were experienced lawyers. Next morning one of my female professors seemed to be distraught and proceeded to go through every point in my letter arguing with each lol. I didn’t send the letter to her. I sent it to the co-ordinator. I can only assume she forwarded it to everyone. So, each of my professors, in their own way addressed the content of my CONFIDENTIAL letter. Not to me personally to the whole class without explaining where it was coming from.
Just some of the arguments:
– Some people want to learn different ways of doing things
– ANYONE can teach at Seneca (utter bullshit of course)
– You should always be courteous (how ironic is that?)
– How can you expect an apology if you don’t go back?
– Don’t hate people! (I don’t really)
– Be careful because people will think you think you’re better than them.
– It’s a big school!
– People don’t want to work with a “bulldog” (I guess that’s me!)
From that day onward though, for the remaining year and a half I was never got any s**t from the ‘teachers’ and the additional requirement for graduation, a typing test (presumable originating from the co-ordinator’s office) was dropped.
People think you have to organize people to better circumstances. Victims. Nope, all you have to do is have some standards, use your head and be willing to confront, and be willing to walk away. Don’t ask for permission to follow your plan, just do it and take full responsibility for the outcome. The power of intimidation through position (as used by all principals, VPs, deans, admin profs., other powerless intimidators) is in one’s ability to act with moral authority. With humans, do anything with enough authority and it has a chance of working. If however you simply refuse to acknowledge this unspoken moral authority, or can show how it’s bs then there is no intimidation. If they’re talking s**t, it means they probably only have intimidation.
When I actually took the course in the summer, I got an A. I met others there who had been failed by that professor having attended the class all semester. Then, in final year I had to take TWO of his classes at the same time for a semester. Ever seen a professor walk on eggshells? Poor admin. Poor programs. Poor attitude and no support from 99% of College contacts.
As a parent of three who has been exposed to university and other colleges…This one is the worst ever.
Residence is extremely and Poorly operated. Absolutely Not a warm, open, Friendly residence to encouraging friendship and commerodery . Dorm is set up as apartments They are Silos. No interaction between students. No common areas to integrate.
Very little to no support from residence floor reps/floor co-ordinators Or Security.
If you should have a problem at anytime during the weekend… every floor rep and coordinator are unavailable to contact on weekends. You had better hope that any issue or concern you have occurs ONLY on weekdays! This college outlines a lovely meal plan for resident students. What they don’t tell you .. Is that there are NO meals available to access after 5:00pm. Food court is closed after 5:00 pm .. so you’ve wasted money buying a food plan. There is no food service. There IS a convenience store for sundries, emerg. Items… Well guess what? Seneca Newnham Campus is closing the ONLY open store on campus for Renovations from Mid November until end of February. This is smack in the middle of exam time when students could use a break and grab those chips, choc bar. You would think they would renovate during the SUMMER! When there are no students, but this would make sense… And this college is entirely devoid of common sense.
Be forewarned: if your child is ill they will not have access to med or walk in clinic service on weekends. They had Better be sick only during the week.
Be forewarned: If there has a dorm situations or problem that require intervention, there is NO access to floor reps or resident Floor co-ordinators on weekends .. and No emergency contact available to step in. Your child must keep their dorm issue or problems to weekdays!
Be forewarned: this past Thanksgiving weekend, most of the resident students returning to their dorm following a long weekend away, return on a Monday night to find that they are locked out of their dorm room! Be prepared for that too.
It did not happen to my child as our dorm payment was up to date. However, For OSAP students and parents who have not submitted payment… this college WILL and certainly DO lock out your child from their dorm room. The student needs to return to security office who then ‘Warns’ them, And put fear into them, they will be locked out if payment is not made. This college does not hold back Marks until payment is made. Seneca will continue to LOCK OUT your child until payment is made. Are you stressed enough yet?? … Because your child certainly is. They are petrified to return to their room following a day of classes to see IF they will have access to their dorm room. Once again, Seneca college proves to be incompetent to handle their financial as well as other issues with logic… And common sense… Except to stress out their students. The list of problems in sending your child to this ‘college’ is endless.
The programs are mediocre at best. Review URL – Rate your College/university professor. It will provide you student comment and opinion for the instructors.
Seneca College, at best, caters only to community area students who live in the city or for off campus students. I would never send another of my children to this place… Let alone Pay for any service provided by this college. Signed by; A very frustrated parent

Man, I just submitted my review and it’s filled with errors. This is what college does to you…makes you dumber. In a nutshell, you’re going to find a small group of people TRYING TO DO THEIR BEST AND GET HIGH MARKS and you’re going to find a WHOLE LOT OF PEOPLE acting the same way they had in high school, not paying attention and doing the work and getting low marks. The ones who do so-so in college, I feel sorry for you…you’re not dumb but not smart either. I worry for these people. Please guys and girls, don’t f**k up in high school or university…cause college ain’t worth it. Unless it’s one of the few programs that likely gets you a job after graduation.
My advise is college gives you the skills you as a individual have to sell yourself and blaming the school is ridiculous.
Cons: Staff: So rude! Don’t know how to speak to people or students… One time I went to cafe and by accident I took two different pizza and the lady embrassed in front of everyone that was in the cafe.. My program coordinator is very rude, talks behind my back doesn’t want to help.. supports other student doesnt listen to my side of the story.. There are some kind ones and most rude ones..

All Seneca campuses are the same. They all suck. Had a teacher tell me that I didn’t have to pay my money there and that I could easily get a job with skill rather than get a diploma. Waste of f***ing time. I also participated in a graduate art show and administrator in my program took one of my paintings without my permission and she never returned it!
If you want to go to any Seneca campus, I recommend that you don’t pay people to steal from you. Let alone, steal your money.
This school has NO clue how to facilitate a positive learning environment, the amount of systemic issues both with clerical staff and their actual technological based systems they basically throw your entire student life on. you are expected to control your class schedule on this system and pay fees ext, but it doesn’t work and you have to run a marathon around the campus to find a human being to rectify the issue/s. This school is STRICTLY a business using students as a cash cow.

The standards of Canadian education in Toronto have gotten so low with the feminist agenda. I might rather spend my $5,000 on investing in a Ponzi scheme than attending classes with these cleavage professors who might be walking lawsuits for male students who might get falsely accused of some trivial sexual harassment policies.
There are also extremely low entrance standards for reading comprehension and writing skills.
I would advise everyone to save their time and money, furthermore to find a different post-secondary college to attend, as Seneca has set a ridiculous example to Ontario’s post-secondary colleges.
I have to buy new textbooks every semester, many of which have access codes that I must use (so buying used is hardly an option). It’s such an expensive hassle. The customer service at the bookstore is mediocre, some employees don’t even know their stuff.
Many students can barely speak English. And some (though not most) students in my classes are douche bags. They’re cocky, condescending, rude, and disruptive.
There are some positives though. I like how the classes are small, usually between 25-40 students. The environment is quite multicultural. I’ve also met some decent and open-minded people here, both professors and classmates.
Overall, I don’t really recommend this college. But it’s up to you to decide.

Education is what you make it I enjoy being a Seneca Student and am enjoying as I was also a prior student at a different college and enjoyed my time at that college as well.
Also, a friend of mine almost missed her graduation from Seneca as he had received an email stating she did not meet the requirements to graduate. When she did meet them. Apparently their “system” had screwed up.. Yet again.
The campus is really pretty but super boring since there is nothing there but a Tim Hortons. The bookstore is a mega ripoff!! If you are thinking of the 911 program, do not do it! Even old students came back to tell us they still have no jobs. Avoid Seneca and take your money elsewhere cause you will not get much of an education here.
– Residence has black mold im the vents and behind the toilettes.Also has a silver fish bug and fly infestation.
-All about the money, do not care about the students at all. Had an issue with the marking and went through all the proper steps to talk to the dean, who then just blew me off
-Dont mark your entire test, only acouple questions and base your mark on that

The 2 year course I took (I won’t say which one) could have easily been taught in two semesters but they put in so many useless ‘filler’ courses to round it out to 2 years. The coordinator of the program is an egotistical, self-centred wanna-be. S/he wants to feel like s/he is one of the cool kids in class but sadly, s/he just looks pathetic in trying. It was so annoying to have the coordinator have ‘favourites’ in the class as well. Pretty obvious to the rest of us and we just rolled our eyes at each other while we watched the pets being petted.
We were ‘taught’ a crucial area of this supposed ‘hands-on type’ program in class from a poor teacher and an outdated textbook which was ridiculously overpriced – never left the classroom to view the actual item we were supposed to be learning about. We were required (we were threatened that we wouldn’t pass the course) to purchase many textbooks (at over $175 or more each) which were outdated and extremely difficult to follow – AND – they were just photocopied and wired bound! Gee – I wonder who got all that money because these ‘books’ would have cost about $7-$10 each to photocopy and bind. Money Money Money
It’s too bad that this school is so focused on getting money. Even though I had already paid for the standard number of classes, I had to pay extra because I took two of my GenEd courses out of the semesters they were originally scheduled for.
There are a few really good teachers but so very many are so very bad. Some have been complained about year after year for inconsistent marking, inappropriate comments, incredibly poor teaching skills, changing criteria for assignments two days before due date (yes that really happens) very poor communication skills, etc. etc. Nothing is done. N-O-T-H-I-N-G because they have tenure. Many of the English teachers are completely whacked! Truly!
I am a mature student who didn’t appreciate being spoken to like a teenaged student right out of high school. I refused to be sucked into the ‘vortex of the swirling toilet’ the so-called (and laughably named) professors wanted everyone to endure just so we would be grateful to graduate. I worked damned hard and I deserved to graduate. Some classes we had to teach the material to ourselves because the teachers were so dreadful. It’s no wonder that so many of us don’t bother to show up to classes.
I cannot recommend this school. There are just too many problems with poor and under-qualified teachers in the majority of courses. It’s quite sad really.
The placement for this program is another beast. If you want to be abused by a host teacher two days a week for eight hours a day this is the program for you. It doesn’t matter is you are having issues with this person they’ve signed you up to be with, it’s your problem.
Discrimination is also a big issue with this school, program, and placement. I was told by the same teacher that asked us “why we were all here?” that I was too fat to be an early childhood educator in front of the class. I was also discriminated by my host teacher for that same reason (she was a fitness freak lol) and that I was too nice. How can you be too nice in this field? Oh and if you’re a guy you have a whole other set of problems to deal with. I had two guys in my class that went to their placements and were refused at the door because they were men.
The campus at King however is beautiful but after a week or so it get’s very boring being in the middle of nowhere. Basically you’re stuck on campus with a Tim Hortons and the campus cafeteria. There are no other stores or place to eat near the campus. I feel really bad for the people in residence! Not only are they stuck in the middle of nowhere but they’re fighting an infestation of bed bugs (I’ve seen a bed beg in the school).
I know all this sounds like an angry student that didn’t do the work but I finished all my assignments on time, went to my classes, and studied every night. The main reason I’m writing this is because I want prospective students to save their time and money. Go to a different school because this one is a joke. I’ve lost thousands in my first year taking this program. I’m a mature student and because of all this dilemma I’ve also lost a year of quality education. Please stay away for your own sakes.
As stated above, there are some clear cons of going to Seneca, but since everyone has posted the bad, I’ll post some of the good.
The student to teacher ratio is quite low, so you can develop a one-on-one relationship with the professor, who can help you after hours, and “most” remember you by name. Depending on the course and the professor, courses can be exciting, challenging, and motivating to complete. Others…not so much.
And to the above, if you believe that submitting your resume/cover letter guarantees you a job, here’s a heads up: you don’t. Not at Seneca, nor at any other school can they guarantee that you will receive employment from co-op. It increases the odds, but it doesn’t guarantee anything. Optional co-op is clearly stated on programs with the option, and you are selected based upon how “hireable” you appear to be – you’ve got to remember that Seneca is looking out for its own reputation as well, and students that might not represent its coop program in a positive light (i.e. the best of the best, at least out of Seneca) won’t be accepted. And the floral arrangement program probably does have better job prospects, looking at it from a supply/demand point of view.
As for “industry-knowledgeable” profs, I find many of them still work part-time in their respective industry outside their teaching schedules, and yes, there are many that seem to be “out of it”, and have no clue how to teach or have any relevant industry-knowledge, but again, you’ve got to balance the good and the bad.
True story: the campus and student life in general are terrible. Not even going to attempt to bump that one up, there is limited space for the mass amount of students attending Seneca (it’s all a money scam most of the time – the resources proportionally per student is abysmal), facilities aren’t always the best (i.e. wireless internet sucks, most of the campus feels outdated, many departments within the school are inadequate or incompetently-staffed, and this is coming from a student who is employed by Seneca), there is no student pride whatsoever (which is deserving of the lack of a good school atmosphere), etc.
Campus: Everything about this campus is a joke. Constant construction is not only distracting while in class but also makes the place look like s**t. There is very little sitting or study room, especially quiet areas to get work done. Computer labs are always taken. The so called campus “pub” doesn’t even serve alcohol at any time other than pub nights (which is unheard of as far as I know).
The program: Stay away from the HRM program at all costs. Most people join this program because they want the co-op (as I did), but what they don’t tell you on their website is that just because you apply for it doesn’t mean you’ll get it. You send in a resume and some other documentation and through some process they don’t explain they select who gets in and who doesn’t. The majority of the profs in this program have been out of the industry for too long and the work seems like pointless busy-work. A lot of “get into groups and talk about ______” is what you’ll do in this program.
Overall: Useless program in a useless school. The floral arrangement program here has better career prospects.
