  • VIU says:

VIU moved to a new larger campus and now offers new programs and services to a diverse group of students.

  • Former Student says:

A small handful of the professors care, all the other professors are there for the money grab. This is a scam school and the degree is worthless. No university will accept it and understandably. In the two semesters that I studied there, an IT project manager was assigned to an Operating Systems class. He cancelled almost half of the classes because he was too busy, and he changed the textbook four classes before the final exam because he said the first book was too difficult for him to understand. Another professor had no programming experience, but was assigned to teach an introductory Java class. We were working from a Java for dummies textbook and he didn’t even understand programming foundations (e.g., what a conditional statement was and how it worked). I dropped out and transferred to a real university.

Over 90% of the students are Indians who already have BCS’ in their countries, they just come to buy the visa opportunities. Maybe for them it’s worth it, but if you’re going to university to learn–then this school is a waste of time and a waste of money.
