How are the restrictions (music, dress code, etc) it’s nothing that going to break my going but I would like to know if I should filter my ipod before going, and also buy some formal clothes (not my thing) but willing to do it if necessary. Im going to the one in NY….can anyone tell me what day at WOL is like, schedule (morning to bed time, classes and all); it would really be helpful. Thanks and GBU
Great place. Very biblically sound. If you are from a penecostal or charasmatic you will probably struggle due to there correct stance on sign gifts not being for today. Very evangelistic and a great place to learn about God.
Andrew, I dont think it lacks the zeal for the power of God at all. I think learning all of that stuff about who God is only demonstrates a zeal for the power of God. And they are definitely not more concerned about the academic growth than the spiritual. But I guess you make it what you want it. My year we didnt have any cliques or anything, it really was like a family. Everyone cared for everyone, including the staff, they challenged eachother, prayed for eachother, encouraged eachother, and two years later we are all still a part of eachothers lives. I could not believe the amount of spiritual growth I was blessed to witness, not only in myself but in every single graduate that year. It was INCREDIBLE.
The one thing I found hard was coming back to the culture after two years at college, cause everything seemed different. But that also has alot to do with going from FL to Canada, cause naturally there is a huge culture difference anyways. But it’s nothing you cant adapt too.
I definitely would recommend WOL Fl to anyone looking for a solid Biblical foundation. You wont find another place like it.
Great place to start your life as a college student! Sometimes its a drag and you will be exhausted by the schedule but it is well worth it in the end. My only down point is the theology, though solid, is traditional and lacks the zeal for the power of God, also they are more focused on academic growth than the spiritual growth.
