  I attended the University of Colombo.The history of higher education in Srilanka is closely linked to that of the University of Colombo.It was established in the year 1870.It was named as the Ceylon medical College.students feel very privileged to belong to the University of Colombo with its long tradition of excellence teaching & learning contributed to the community.”it is great school! Classes are challenging enough to keep me busy studying on weekends.The majority of teachers are abosolutely great, they know the subject and far beyond.However I passed all the requirements needed to attend to this college ,we must be at least 17 years,3 passes in G.C.E.A/L or 6 passes in G.C.E.O/L .I experienced good in this college.I was also involved in several extra curricular activities that enabled me to network in the community.I found many faculty to be highly regarded in their fields. Some were very nice, but others seemed to have low morale or were too busy to spend much time with me. However, the nice ones really made positive impacts on my life. Forget about the snotty ones. You will be able to find caring and talented professors here.I followed the BIT course.My aim was to become a ICT professional.the minimum duration of Bit Degree will be 3 academic years.The DIT(diploma in information Technology).HDIT(higher Diploma in Information Technology).will be awarded at the completion of course examinations of the second year.The BIT degree will be awarded on successful completion of 1,2,3 years.there were about 150 students in my batch.there are more different courses for students those who are not qualified for the college.The EDC(the external degree center).this helps students to study at home without coming to the college.the studying is done twice a month outside the college.how ever the degree given to both college students and the EDC students are the same degree.the surroundings are so nice to see.The most beautiful university in Srilanka is the Colombo university.The campus is in a beautiful setting. Some buildings need repairs. The state will probably be raising tuition dramatically in the future,So the both ways of studying are convenient.the University of Colombo is a good college for students to study without any conflicts.

  There are student hostel/apartment is fairly good
  Normally in one room more than four students are live. It is very interesting thing live togetherThis school will give you the opportunity to make great friends that’ll last a life time.Every single person in this campus is friendly. Being a small school gives it the advantage of every individual feeling as if they are apart of the college community. Parties almost every weekend, if you make an effort to know the fraternities! Every person works together because their is no competition between you and another person.
  *University of Colombo is very interesting and happy full learning place I ever visit.
