  Punjab University – “The Hub of Culture, Talent and Education”. Punjab University is one of the oldest universities in India. Punjab University offers courses and research in the fields of Science, Engineering & Technology, Humanities, Social Sciences, Performing Arts and Sports. Punjab university is the university where I m studying. I m a student of bachelor of commerce 2nd year. I really like its campus. It’s a second home to me. There’s a Student Council which help the students in academic, cultural, political and social activities. The staff in this university has high qualified staff. They are very cooperative. It provides many facilities to the students. It has library named ‘A. C. Joshi’ library. where number books are placed relating to culture, social , political , history , geography , and many more knowledgeable books. The Punjab University offers many scholarships for the needy students. This helps them to complete their study without any interruption. Punjab University promotes cultural values. The festivals are often host to Star performances, DJ nights and other events. Tatva is the student’s magazine published by Punjab University. There is an annual Debate Competition called Polemic. The Punjab University has four museums, and the Department of Indian theatre has its own theatre lab. The university has a botanical garden and a garden of medicinal plants on the campus. Punjab University organizes youth festivals, and debate competition for the students every year. I mostly take part in fest and debate competition also. It increases our knowledge as well as entertains and introduced us with our talent. The university has been recognized by the UGC as the “University with Potential for Excellence in Bio-Medical Sciences” with facilities for Stem Cell Research and Drug Development. It has many facilities for the medical and non medical students. It has many laboratories and well qualified staff for the medical and non medical subjects. There are different departments for different languages like German, Russian, Urdu, Punjabi, Hindi etc., Punjab University is one of the Top most universities of India. It missed the top most position just by 0.5%. Its degree has value in all over the world. So the students from different nation also come here to study from this university, and they find it useful for them. Its campus is very large, it also has hostel facility for the students came from different nations. It provides under graduate and post graduate courses. It mostly enforces the students to take part in sports. It provides the facility of evening colleges also . The main facility of this campus is thatit can be affordable by every one. It also provide a facility of hostel to students who are coming from far areas..If every thing has its good qualities then bad qualities are also there. The bad thing about this university is that there are number of gangs of students , so the gang wars are the common thing in this university. which i dont like. but , in the case of Education this is the best university of the India
  The Punjab University provides distant learning education also, which help those students who are doing jobs and any other additional course. I m also doing chartered accountancy course along with BCOM and it is not easy for me to attend campus so the facility of distant learning provided by Punjab University helps a lot to me in completing my degree. I am very glad for being a part of this university. Its gives me lot of knowledge and lead me the way to my success
