    It’s really hard. Expect to work hard but also be surrounded by people who are thoughtful and smart. I’ve never had a dull conversation at CMU. The people are really interesting if you take the time to get to know them, and there is a significant social life to be had there, you just need to try harder.. much harder. Pittsburgh is a GREAT area with tons to do as well.

    CMU is great for smart, nerdy people. The only people I know that don’t enjoy it are either really into partying or are too lazy/stupid to do the coursework.

    I’m finishing my 4th year at Carnegie Mellon. It’s been a terrible fight uphill to graduate. Expect to work hard, but have a lot options when you graduate. Definitely not a party school.
