Well it is better than the most uni.s in egypt
It is hard to study cuz of the huge load and the hardness of exams
U have to take Guc serious if u do not want to fail and bay more :D
This university is new but it is not an excuse for their extreme lack of care for academics, students, and staff. To anyone who has thought of applying to the farce of an education system I only ask you to do some research online about GUC and complaints and truly see that it isn’t an educational system but an extreme profit minded business. Now yes all private universities are businesses that were created to make money, but this is on a different level. Do your own research and believe it this is not the place you want to waste your years and money there.
Oh i forgot, i gave the STARS in comparison with world universities. Not Egypt universities. This is how it Rates in egypt *new stars*
AUC gets the 5 star overall quality, it gets a 2 star or 1 star in affordability though (remember its in accordance to EGYPT) In comparison with worldwide UNIS it is VERY affordable. costs MAXIMUM without any financial aid, 11,000 USD. with financial aid it could be 5,500 USD or even free if the student is that good. Screw these guys who commented, They are probably whining failures. The GUC is a great university, atleast for someone who wants to learn ALOT. Its only problem is its system. The way departments communicate with each other is not good. Not at all. So u could wind up with 5 quizzes in one week. Or 5 deadlines in one week. That is an extreme case though but it happens. Its usually 3-4 quizzes or deadlines.
As to its staff, 70% of the are VERY responsible and the rest is….well u know. Hm…The Uni Campus is very large, its not complete though so more than 75% of the area occupied by the university is a mere desert. However note that it is a new university and has only been operating for 6 years. This year being the 6th.
As for the fun part, there are 2 official party’s per year. The women here are WoW! like 2 football courts, 3 basket courts and a tennis court. And a huge stadium.
Currently the university has around 9000 students in total. Studying is in English, german courses are compulsory until a certain level where you would be able to communicate a little with german people. After that u could take courses that will enhance ur level and make u speak actual german.
GUC Engineering is known as the TOP engineering in Egypt. Pharmacy not so much, Management is 2nd best in Egypt after the King AUC. It offers good financial aid programs.
Before applying to this college you should have a good resistance to stupid rules that will be enforced on you once u r here. Note that this college is the 2nd best college in Egypt and once you graduate u will definetly work in egypt and be fully respected as a True Graduate. However the GUC did not market it’s name to the world, meaning that only SOME people know it in germany and some in the middle east.
Hopefully this University will fix its system and will top the AUC. Still needs more and more reputation, here is the website incase u want to really get into it.
