  I am working my way through my doctoral program at HMU, and have never been anything less than fully satisfied with my experience. The professors not only highly educated, but also show a gift for deeply connecting with the students for the shared inquiry process. I come away from every discussion feeling incredibly intellectually stimulated and looking forward to the next one. I can feel how much I have grown through this program in my ability to think critically and to defend my arguments and ideas. Nothing in a typical classroom setting could have offered the kind of education I am gaining with HMU.

  For someone passionate about liberal education, HMU offers an excellent opportunity to learn about the greatest contributors to Western thought. The school is accredited from the Distant Education & Training Council (DETC). The faculty is knowledgeable and skilled. The teaching approach is the Socratic method. This is individualized instruction giving the student wide latitude over designing their own program of education.
