It’s a feminist lair with a hellbent phobia against men. The school was a women’s college in the previous century, but little has changed in their world view or student mix.
Be prepared to see Institutional pedagogy via terms such as male toxicity after you agree to pay them $60000 per year.
The town of Poughkeepsie is a dump, so there’s little outside the campus either to get a sense of normalcy.
I loved Vassar.
The classes were interesting, the proefssors open to your opinions.
Poughkeepsie has very little going on but campus life is exciting.
Getting to New York City is easy. The student population is not very diverse but they’re working on that.
I wasn’t involved in clubs or groups but I took advantage of the events, lectures and meetings that were always going on.
We are so liberal, that you dare not talk to a girl, she may chew your head off for being a guy.
We are so liberal that you dare not talk to a guy, he may want you !
We have co-ed bathrooms all over campus, so don’t be surprized to see everything and anything! The School is old, but, they are trying to step up to a new world policy.
( slowly )!! Vassar is an inbreading ground. They want you to live here and stay here. Forget life outside the gates. There isn’t much going on unless you are willing to travel. Transportation SUCKS. Don’t bring your car, NO place to park ! Ever wonder what it would have been like to go to school in the 1900th century ?
