  Don’t waste your money. They offer courses they aren’t skilled in, teaching topics that are outdated long before you graduate, and often the teachers are just staff reading directly from a book because they’ve never seen the source material before and have never worked in the industry they are teaching. All you will do is waste your time and accrue a tremendous amount of debt. Worst (and most expensive) mistake of my life. No job placement, credits don’t transfer, degree is a worthless piece of paper that no potential employer respects.

  I had a great experience. I got my associate’s degree in Nursing and I am going back for my BSN. The teachers are amazing and they really put their time and effort into making sure the students learn. As of 2017 they have great rarings. They are CCNE accredited and meet all the credentials. Many of the students that have failed have failed because they didn’t apply themselves. I saw it first hand. All of the people that were in my cohort are now licensed professionals and many are working their “dream job”. A lot of people seem to be mad because things didn’t work the way they wanted to but if you compare Provo College to Ameritech it is cheaper and they offer the same of not better education. I am really happy with my experience, I graduated with honors and I am now happy with the job I have and I am ready for more.

  I had requested info about the school where they sent me an email with absolutely no information. I started getting calls/texts multiple times a day at work to come see their school. I was interested in an accelerated nursing program, so I finally worked it out to go see the school. The girl I was supposed to see couldn’t make it and I met with Tanya. She pushed the MA course on me like CRAZY even after I’d told her several times that I didn’t want to be an MA. Then she’d ask if I had any questions/concerns and then would talk over me and not let me answer. She forced me to take a test right there on the spot when I was going to be late for work and wanted me to buy a text book before even entering the program. She told me “don’t worry about saving up money, you need to quit your job for the program. You can get all student loans. It’s okay, nurses make a lot of money”. What the heck kind of advice is that for young people starting out in the world. I finally did ask about the accreditation of the program because there was a tiny asterisk at the bottom of a page. She lied to my face and told me that Provo College’s nursing program was NATIONALLY accredited. I’m so glad I looked into the school before applying.

  Upon meeting with the recruiter, when researching colleges and courses, I was promised that due to my being a single parent (amongst other variables) my entire education would be covered by the various grants I’d qualify for. I was assured that this would all be taken care of for me. This Is how I was convinced to attend this college. Three quarters of the way through the college year (program was only one year long) I started receiving bills in the mail. I went to the dean of the college and asked him about this woman, apparently she was no longer working there. I asked the Dean if I could sell my jewelry in the bookstore to try to raise some money, he couldn’t believe that she had promised what she did. Of course the jewelry didn’t bring in much income. In all my student loans rose to approximately $15,000. More than 10 times the amount I had accrued in 2 years (off & on) UVU. Within a month of graduating I found out that there was no need to go to school for this program (pharm tech) & I could be trained in any pharmacy for that job- FOR FREE!! The recruiter did end up coming back to that college and is employed there still (I believe). I believe this was fraudulent and deceitful and that I have a case. And thankfully, so does the attorney I have been communicating with.

  Please, take this advice that I wish someone would have given me when I was young, stupid, and debating on whether to attend Provo College or not………DON’T DO IT!!! It is a HUGE waist of time and money. Everything about the place sucks, and you won’t learn jack squat.

  DO NOT GO TO THIS SCHOOL! RUN AWAY!! They will take your money and give you nothing in return! They are not a regionally accredited institution, so your degree means nothing if you plan on moving out of happy valley. I’m not even sure the credits are transferable in Utah. However if you go to the lame online school they all push (WGU), they do take credits from PC. Don’t get scammed into believing that hogwash either. WGU is just as bad as they are. No one in my program is working in our field. None of us were able to find jobs after graduation. Their job placement program is a joke!

  Most of the teachers are just babysitters. A typical class is just opening your book and following along the exercise on your own while your teacher plays games on the computer, or does some work for their other job.

  Don’t make the same mistake so many of us already have. Please do your research.

  I returned to school in an attempt to better my life. What I gained from Provo College is a very large student debt and absolutely NO marketable skills. During my time at Provo College, I experienced Instructors and a Program Director who were hot tempered, dramatic, self centered, encouraged and rewarded “brown-nosing”, spent more time texting than actually teaching, detached from reality (seriously, some really odd and “out there” thinking from some of these people),openly and hostilely criticized students in front of their peers without a given cause, poor quality resources (being one the the priciest schools you would expect better), one instructor taught as if she were teaching a 6 year old Sunday school class (and treated us as if we were no brighter than 6 years old), showed mind numbingly dull videos instead of teaching (so they could text – honestly why teach when you get paid to turn on a TV and text), and pricey books which were seldom used.
  I had attempted twice to convey my concerns and shock at the behavior that was going on to the Dean. I was greeted by a fake smile and told to take my concerns to my Program Director – who was the one I had concerns about. I tried to explain that I had attempted to communicate with her, only to be met with hostility. He would just smile, let me know hat he was busy, and walk me out of his office.
  Three instructors at Provo College earned my respect and admiration, unfortunately, I had only one class with each them. I have since learned that two of the three have left Provo College, I am happy that they were able to find employment else where. The plus, is that the classes are small. The down side to that is that you will be the student of persecution from the instructor at least once a week.
  For those who are curious, check out the BBB for Provo College – at the time of this review, they have a D- rating.
