One student review of Columbus State University

  • Unknown says:

Half of my professors were very unorganized. Most of the classes are not challenging at all. Great school if you want to skate by on freebee curves to get your degree. Warning though, once you are out and in the professional world…or grad school, you will find your newly graduated peers from other schools know far, far more than you do. Students talk constantly during lectures and professors do nothing about it. I have attended other schools and this and Columbus Tech are absolutely the most useless schools I’ve ever been to, I don’t know why they are so bad. When I graduated I literally had an employer tell me he no longer employs Columbus State graduates because the ones he hired did not have a clue what they were doing. If you are going for the sciences, computer science, etc…please, please try to get into GA Tech and don’t take the easy way out. Your future will be far more open that way and it will be worth the work!

The bright notes are I find the campus pretty nice, plenty of computers available, and I’ve become good friends with some of the professors over the years. Good hearted people. Unfortunately, nice doesn’t equal a valuable degree. The tuition is also very affordable but you’re better off taking out a loan and going to a more challenging school.
