The very small decisions you take in your life, sometimes change your life completely. Choosing a college for your higher education is one of them. Fortunately, I made the right choice by choosing Indo Soviet Friendship (I.S.F) College of Pharmacy for my higher studies in pharmaceutical sciences.
The college is affiliated to Punjab Technical University (P.T.U). It is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (A.I.C.T.E), Pharmacy Council of India (P.C.I) and accredited by National Board of Accreditation (N.B.A). These approvals and accreditation are validated by the best academic atmosphere, infrastructure, facilities and faculty to provide quality education and its sincere commitment to the cause of pharmaceutical education. The I.S.F. College of Pharmacy is one of the top pharmacy institutions of north India.
The college acquires very good infrastructural facilities. It includes:
• Well furnished and air conditioned lecture halls.
• Finely equipped experimental laboratories for practical studies.
• A finely furnished auditorium to deal with educational conferences and other university functions.
• Excellent accommodation facilities are available, separately for boys and girls.
• Separate playgrounds are available for cricket, volleyball and basketball.
Excellent Staff
Eminent professors to teach and guide all the way through pharmaceutical science studies, is one of the best known features of I.S.F College of Pharmacy. They are very professional as well as friendly. Some of the faculty members are known worldwide for their contribution in pharmaceutical sciences.
Superb Practical Studies
The outstanding laboratory equipments and other amenities are there to provide best in class experimental studies, for practical knowledge of pharmaceutical sciences. The college also ensures that no harm is being done to the animals used for practical science studies, by regularly checking the number of animals returned by specific lab against the number of animals issued to that lab.
Computer lab is well equipped with a number of computers, to teach the applications of computers in pharmaceutical sciences.
College library bears a huge collection of books for any sort of reference in pharmaceutical science studies. Library also provides the service of free EBooks, bearing the subject matter. Library is also well furnished and air conditioned.
Various Analytical Devices And Instruments, used in the quality control and other departments of pharmaceutical manufacturing units are available right in the college to give students realistic exposure, for the sake of their careers in pharmaceutical sciences.
Accommodation Facilities
No doubt the college acquires good infrastructure facilities but the disappointing fact is that hostel students are familiar with long rows just for the necessary amenities such as toilets, bathrooms, drinking water, food and many others. The hostel of the college can put up with very limited number of students from thousands want to live in.
Placement Cell
The college also offers placement cell to conduct recruitments to the pharmaceutical companies, right from the college campus. The college also provides placement assistance for the bright careers of their deserving students in the pharmaceutical sciences.
Overall, I was, actually I am lucky that I studied in I.S.F College of Pharmacy. I want that other students not from across the globe should take admission in this prestigious institution to get expertise in Pharmaceutical Science.
