These are legalized “diploma mills” intended to scam international students for their money.
I would not recommend Lambton College for anyone honestly. Took a few programs and each one the professors didn’t teach rather expected you to already know majority of the courses. They use projection screens for everything or wave you off into groups to do assignments on your own. When you need help they say ask questions after class is done but is no where to be found as they pack up and take off as soon as they can. Now, not every professor is like this but so many are. They give their friends jobs rather then hiring qualified experienced people. They are quick to fail you without giving you a chance to make up and close the doors immediately on tests so if you’re a minute late – good luck! Paying so much money out of our tuition to be treated and taught this way while they get paid. The professors talk about students behind their back together in their circles and favourite certain people who go the extra mile and suck up. The parking fees is a joke when you have classes someday for only 3-4 hours, does the college really need more money? Greedy and privileged.
This is a horrible college. Pretty clear that they are not an educational institution. More of a business, just looking to take your money. The counsellors and teachers are trash. Talk over your head as if you should already know the things being taught. An example would be my math teacher, who just basically points at a projection screen for less than an hour and somehow you (the student) are now a master at that subject. You will never be taught anything else on that subject. There is no teaching going on, there isn’t even a way to learn these things in the amount of time they are trying to teach them. Just a ploy to get as many people to fail, quit and pay another 20k next year to try it again. And when you tell them and try to explain that to them they just disregard it and try talking you into giving them more money for another program. Stay clear from this school. They care less about what you get out of the program and more about what they can get out of you. (money) It is disgusting. Literally, at this point everything they have taught me I could’ve learned faster and better from FREE online educational websites. Horrible college and even worse teachers. Bad experience over-all. Unless you want to waste you time and money, cause they will be all but merry to help you do that.

Wow, hard to believe some of these reviews went to the same college as I did. I took Office Administration and it was worth every penny. The teachers worked you hard and expected your best out of you, all the time. Don’t skip classes or you won’t pass. That’s the way it worked in OAEX. Not only did I walk out with a good education but I had a job in my field before I graduated.
Was a waste of my money and time. I had four teachers that marked unfairly due to favoritism in the class room. I agree with business student the financial aid is terrible the lady running the osap part is rude and dosen’t even care.The coordinators of my program are horrible people. The main coordinator yelled at me for asking simple questions about the program. I honestly would never recommend lambton college to anyone.
Terrible school jut looking for your money. There’s little to no communication or transparency in the CPET program (which is one of their biggest programs). In September, they raised the GPA requirement for co-op without notifying anyone in the program of this change. Anyone below the GPA requirement is no longer allowed to even participate, even if a placement is found by the student. Co-op advisor, Patti Helps, is less than helpful, yells at the students, and just leaves whenever she feels like it. Dean of Tech is less than helpful in regards to the above and would rather sit in his office getting paid while students under his control are set to fail. Add this with the new program they have specifically for CPET graduates (req GPA is 2.0) of a third co-op term, just for graduates, that you *surprise* have to give them more money for. Lots of money grabbing going on at this school, with students having nothing to show for it.
Spent $20k cad, useless. Worst instructors, rude staffs. Never ever think of this college. They suck your blood. Here is an simple example, I got an email says total amount to be paid for the course and I paid, after 2 days got another email says there was a mistake made in calculation so I was asked to pay another 2k, They dont even know simple maths, how do they teach others?

I cannot emphasize that enough. Registrars office employees are rude. Good luck getting any answers or responses from financial aid. They won’t answer calls or emails. You have to go there and sit for a minimum hour to get in. I don’t know how they expect one employee to run the OSAP of that many students effectively. They’ve changed the way you can make payments. You cannot pay with a credit card anymore because god forbid the charges they are made to pay for that service are too high. Who cares if the students suffer – we’ll save money this way!? logic right. The late fee for tuition went from $50 to $100, what a nice money grab. “Extra $50 per student cause why not” good motto. I am so sick of this organization and how things are run. Professors who don’t bother to respond to emails, change test dates without posting online and dictate what you can wear. One and only perk of this college is that is it local so if you have the opportunity to go somewhere else, I strongly suggest you do it.
I have doubt regarding which campus is offered more job opportunities than others as Lambton college has 3 campus. Could you please suggest which campus is good for employment(Sarnia main campus, Toronto campus and Mississauga)?

Where to begin.. Haven’t had either of the two term tests returned for one class. Labs, good luck about getting any feedback what a joke. Instructor is lost and unorganized. Do not waste your time at this school.
Brutal college. Don’t spend any money here. Over priced books sold that are never used, and also out of date. Over sized class rooms with broken equipment. Skilled trades Dean is completely useless and unwilling to address any concerns. I’ve been through Lambtons doors the past 4 years and nothings changed. Double booking classrooms and testing on knowledge and skills that aren’t taught. Lambton College is about the bottom line. Profit.
Do not waste your money and more importantly, your time, at this college.
The college accepts/passes almost anyone and they squeeze as many students in as they can so the enrolment numbers go up every year.
Most of the teachers are not educated enough. Each department has a couple very nice, hard working staff members that want to make a difference. However, they have their limits since the rest of the staff just sit around waiting for the end of the day. They got their government salary with benefits and they decided to check out. I should mention the college hires a lot of their graduates too.
I even heard a staff member walking down the hallway with her co-worker making insults towards the disabled/international students on several occasions. All eyes on the red head from Recruitment/Marketing!
International Students – Do not come to this college! It is disturbing the way you are treated. You are willing to spend a lot of money to come here and get a good education. The college will happily take your money, poorly educate you, and leave you with a feeling of regret. There are many better options in Canada for you.

Co op department should understand International students are paying so much towards the school to get benefit but not to get ripped off. Even I am facing the same issue. They weren’t helpful at all. I think college management have to interfere and help international students get another chance to prove. It was posted on 22 July, 2014. By this we can assume that this was the problem international students were facing from long back. This is not fair for management to be quiet and supporting such kind of treatment towards international students.
I just want to voice out on some certain issues affecting some of us international students. If you are not affected you do not have to comment on this. This is regarding the way international students of the ITP38 group and other groups are been treated due to failure of not finding a coop position within the given time by the career services.
We may have our faults but its unacceptable that some of us are given a ONE YEAR graduate certificate which affects our status in Canada later on. International students pay a LOT to come here , we are even RIPPED OFF in few cases. Its disturbing that after putting in so much effort to find a position, we are still denied of a TWO YEARS graduate certificate.
Ordered my transcript 3 weeks ago and the request is still pending. This college doesn’t care about students problem.just care about money they making and even no one will reply to your queries its all same doesn’t matter you are in Sarnia or Toronto.
This is illegal and Lambton-Cestar in Toronto-is a bunch of idiots!! no one is qualified except 3 people and that’s not anyone in management they are all crooks and thieves, and liars! that school has no idea what is coming. The way they treat their staff is deplorable. I have been told to lie to students and even staff. They speak in racial tones about the same students paying their bills. There is an old, wrinkly, iron-looking woman in the office in Toronto who is the meanest and cruelest woman you will ever meet, with her accomplice another young girl without a clue who took over my friends job with a degree in rock studies-what a scam! Together, these unqualified fools, control everything and is threatened by myself and those who know much more than she does, and the director is a joke. Just another liar-sent to damage control. the question is why they would go to Pakistan, Bangladesh and India to recruit? Thieves…scammers…no morals. Everyone is so unfriendly. they treat the students like dirt, refer to them using racist terms. take their money, and if they are sick, they take all their money and fail them, and have them take the courses over again and pay another $4000. i told them i did not agree with how they treated the students and they got rid of me, and refused to pay me for even working on Saturdays, and on holidays, and tried to be revengeful. I called 7 people they hired after i left and warned them and i have talked with 6 of them since and i cannot believe they are doing what they have always done and worse. they must be stopped. They will-everyone should stay away from this school, they will look negative on any resume.
This College is a great place with tons of potential in the future! The people on here just probably failed their classes because of their lack of effort so they write nasty reviews. I am in the ICET program and I have learned tons of new material since the beginning. Kevin Ryan has been a big help unlike the previous comment about him. He may act like your “best friend” because he cares and is always willing to help out, in fact we need all teachers to be like him; not to mention he knows what hes talking about. However, the coordinator is horrible; he doesn’t know what hes talking about. No one goes to the coordinator they go to Kevin Ryan. I vote Kevin Ryan for president.. I mean ICET coordinator

This college is terrible. I have come across only a couple teachers that actually care about the students. The coordinator is a hot head who repeatedly talks down to students. No point in complaining about anything since it has never helped anyone. The dean doesn’t even seem to care about the students best interests. I see a lot of praise for Kevin Ryan in this program. He acts like everyone’s best friend, but don’t be fooled, he’s as manipulative and condescending as the rest of the staff. They need to hire TEACHERS. It doesn’t matter how well you know something, if you can’t teach it you are wasting all the students time and money.

They become money suckers, squeezing for money with different fees adding after completing the semester fee, I dont recommend any of international students if you are poor and count every penny. 3 Faculty for the 2year program is waste of money and have no standard. Sarnia is a good place rated top 17 cities in Canada to move away from.
This place is awful. They pass everyone making their diplomas mean absolutely nothing. As a teacher if a student fails you are held accountable. Most of the time the program coordinator over rides the teacher grades and passes the student anyways. Whatever happened to being a responsible adult. The administration treat teachers and students like crap. They love to use and abuse their staff. Coordinators running programs that they haven’t worked in for years, teaching out of date technique but no longer one cares. Definitely out of touch with what’s going on these days in the workplace. This school is definately treated like a busineess and not an educational facility. They couldnt get enough money so they started lettting in large hords of international students. Don’t give these morons your money, employers will see you have a useless Lambton College diploma and laugh. This place is a joke.

Totally hate this college. I could mention a ton of issues. I’ve met a couple good teachers, such as Kevin Ryan, but most just don’t care. I was an honour student, but 4.0 went out the window early here, and not for lack of studying. This place sucks the soul out of you. It’s like some teacher try to mess with you on tests, and put in material not covered before. I really hate it here. I’ve never experienced a school like this before. I don’t mind homework, but spending hours learning crap that should have been taught properlyin class just ticks me off. I DO NOT recommend this college.

I would also like to add that I witnessed Karen Keenan in the computer labs flirting with a student less than half her age – very unprofessional.
I think Lambton College has the potential to be a great college, but the staff don’t seem to make the effort. A lot of the teachers were great, but there were a lot of students cheating and sharing old exams, which the teachers did not change.
Lambton College was a horrible experience. Some of the above reviews were clearly done by staff of the college. How do I know this, well Lambton actually decreases your brain capacity. Its proven. As a class we visited the Dean multiple times regarding teachers and the way we were treated. Brian Mackenzie being one of these under review. He has had issues with every class he has ever taught. When graduates heard of our stories, they actually went in to the college to tell of similar experiences. The Dean suggested that Mackenzie would be retiring at the end of the year if he choose to or not…Meaning he would be forced into retirement??? This was true for the summer course he offered..then they brought him back on staff. Students have full voice recordings of him verbally and physically threatening entire student bodies, then failing entire groups of students that he didn`t like. I was fortunate and he liked me so I passed my project worth the majority of the mark, while students that explained to me how to complete the project ended up with 30% grades. He has small man syndrome and started to teach because he was useless in the plants, often smelling of alcohol. The guy jumped into a pit of Benzene and now teaches us about safe practices??
Overall ICS was well taught and the teachers knew their stuff inside and out…only problem…once working as an operator, your not allowed to touch any of the instruments as we have dedicated instrumentation guys to do this. The OES labs were our core courses and half the lab equipment didn`t work. One of the OES teachers is also the program coordinator and is useless at helping students out due to a conflict of interest with his co-workers. For the amount they charge, as well as the ties they have with the plants, they drop 0$ into the programs, and have outdated computer systems and labs. We had 60 kids in one class, all requiring computers…the college put us in a classroom with 35 computers. Why would you need to spend an entire course learning about gas chromatographs while training to be a process operator? Show me how to turn a frigen valve, purge a nitrogen line, or maybe how to use a scott air pack? Something relevant would have been helpful.
Lambton college needs to review Brian Mackenzies teaching abilities, he doesnt know how to use the only program required to use in class. As well he has had countless issues and documented problems with students yet they still fail to see this problem and continue to pay him with your tuition money.
Finally, they complain about students in CPET cheating and make a big issue of this while they hand back every test then give the identical test the following year without even changing the numbers? I would call this being resourceful and out right dumb on their part, make your teachers do their job, and monitor it before they go on strike again for more money. Erin Workman was by far the best thing about CPET. Model teacher, in more ways than one, fair, changed her tests and was available at any time. Kevin Ryan, Mehdi and Simon (though hard) were also amazing, knew their stuff inside and out, and truly enjoy to teach.

I recently just completed my second year in the Sports and Recreation Administration program and will be going into my third year in September. I am interested in the business aspect of the sport industry. I have been very fortunate with the opportunities that I have had so far studying at Lambton College.
My very first day I signed up to volunteer as an intern for the Sarnia Sting, a major junior hockey team right on campus. I’ve now been working there for two years and have developed lasting relationships with professionals and fellow classmates. I feel that the classes are very engaging which is a reflection of the small classes here at Lambton. I believe there is an approximate of 20-30 students in my classes and because of that I have developed very good relationships with my professors. Co-op and career services have been good to me by landing an awesome paid co-op at a marketing firm in town. I was able to take what I’ve learned in class and implement it into a real world environment. That experience was extremely valuable and I look forward to working for the same co-op in September.
Overall Sarnia and Lambton College have been really good to me and I am really happy that I decided to come here. For someone who is willing to study and work hard, Lambton College has many opportunities to exploit.

I am a full time student at Lambton College in the Social Service Worker Program. My experience at Lambton the last 2 years has been amazing. Lambton Faculty and staff are friendly and really want their students to succeed.
When I started at Lambton I got involved on campus right away. I have worked as a work study student in the Counselling and Wellness Centre for 2 years and every summer have been an EBAT student on campus. I have gained amazing work experience within the college and developed amazing connections within the community.
The Social Service Worker program at Lambton College has the best faculty and staff; that want us to be prepared for the work force. Our professors give us hands on experience to help us develop our skills. We do tons of role playing, video counselling as well as amazing Field work placement within our community. We are taught from day one of classes that our number one goal is to support, volunteer with and fundraise for organizations in our community and abroad. Also we are taught to advocate for people that are in our most vulnerable sectors. We always give back and volunteer at every event that requires help. Lambton College’s Social Service Worker program is a program developed and taught by people with real Social Work experience. Who truly love their field and pass on that passion to their students.
Professors at Lambton College believe in their field and radiate that through their teaching. I believe that Lambton College truly cares about the success of every student and I feel that every day. People are always friendly and smile when you walk down the halls. Lambton College is a great environment to build the necessary skills and contacts you will need to enter the workforce.
I would recommend Lambton College to any student in any program because Lambton truly cares. Lambton College has a hands on approach to learning. Their labs and classrooms are fully equipped with all the latest technology and which helps students in any program keep up to date.

Lambton College is awful. All the lab equipment is broken, the staff sucks, the students suck, the bathrooms are disgusting, and the teachers act like the students owe them something, but make a 100K per year for being stand-up comedians. I chose a different institution. “Lambton college – make it yours.” LOL.
Studying at Lambton College was an amazing experience. I was a mature student returning to school for the Office Administration Medical Program. I was very apprehensive when starting classes, but found there was no need. The instructors were knowledgeable and experienced and made me feel very comfortable in class which only enhanced my experience. The college goes the extra mile when helping all their students. If you are having difficulty in a specific class peer tutoring is available at no extra cost to the student. There is an incredible resource center with staff that will help in all your research needs. The atmosphere at the college is friendly and I have made many new friends while attending. Many of my classes had office simulations which allowed for first-hand experience and knowledge of systems used in offices today. Work study programs are available for students to apply and they can make extra cash while gaining valuable experience. I was lucky enough to obtain a position and gained a mentor in the process. The college also offers career counseling and extra help in your search for employment upon graduating. I would recommend Lambton College to anyone seeking a great experience while learning the skills necessary for a career in their field of choice.
Lambton College is small and community oriented. I have also attended University where it is very easy to get lost in the crowd. However, at Lambton College it is truly a place where you get back what you choose to put into it. The college has a strong connection to local associations and groups that can connect you to others in your field or people with similar interests. The faculty members are helpful and are held to a very high standard by the Administration.
Overall, I have enjoyed many aspects of my program at Lambton College. I have made truly amazing friends and was able to acquire marketable skills that I will use throughout my career in Business.

Studying at Lambton College has been an excellent and enriching experience. I was drawn to the college for the small class sizes and convenient location, and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of education and the resources available to me as a student. This school is a franchise in several foreign countries including China where 3 or 4 schools have partnered with Lambton. The school in Wuxi China has a very bad reputation for a number of reasons. Students who attend are often passed through classes even if they fail due to poor grades or attendance. The school fails to pay staff and teachers on time routinely. There has been at least once instance of a male student having a sexual relationship with a female teacher.
Essentially the schools in China are a papermill in which Chinese students who either don’t have the scores or money to get into a better school. Unfortunately some very good students are stuck in a very bad college despite being bright and intelligent.
The people of Canada should be aware the name of their college is being pimped out to handout diplomas to many students who don’t deserve them.
Don’t come to this college. Don’t give them your money. It is so corrupt. The students all have old tests and the teachers are too lazy to change them so even all the rednecks pass the programs and graduate. The faculty are very arrogant and think they can’t do their job and get away with it. It seems over a 100000 pays nothing, but a******s.
I am international student of Lambton college, Toronto campus and my experience with college is pathetic.
=>In Totonto campus there is nothing as the facilities are concern, no printing service, student service is there but too pathetic, no gym, no sports activities, it’s worthless to study here.
=>Student Council members are also not working for student as they behave like an agent of college and not working to resolve any known issues of students.
=>So Overall if you are spending approx $6ooo for one semester and not getting what you pay for, it’s better to look for other college.

In terms of student success this college could care less. I graduated from the paramedic course in June of 2010, granted a very competitive field but the college has done absolutely nothing in terms of success. The coordinator was useless expect for anything that would benefit him or the look of program to attract more students. Such a joke.
I recently Graduated The Electrical Techniques Program and I wasn’t told how to apply for positions in my field. I was also told that I need to get a education at a different school if I was to be successful. The field I was applying for isnt hiring and nore will they be reguarless of what the teachers say.( They tell you what you want to hear so you will line their pockets with your money). It is just a big Joke…… GET A REAL EDUCATION TAKE IT FROM ME A RECENT GRAD…………

Horrible school-One of teachers George Bocunfuse harassed me continuously every day, literally going around the class pointing at me and making fun of me, and cracking jokes with other students about me because I didn’t have enough money to keep up with everyone else. Every day at this school they want more money, more money, but never give you anything in return, I gave them over 20 grand, now I have nothing left to give them so i can’t do all the work that everyone else is doing because in order to do the work you need thousands more every day. I’d rather jump off a bridge than put up with the constant harassment from faculty every day
Humber college is your best bet by far, there are NO JOBS AT ALL in Sarnia because the mayor is a borderline tart. Lambton College is a JOKE nothing works at all, lab equipment, computer’s, etc., and when you get on your’e own computer you find out that the programs themselves are defective. I was at Sheridan last year there was alot of runarounds but at least it was a real school, Lambton College is not. Just a bunch of backwards rednecks that want thousands of dollars every day for bullshit that you really don’t need. HUMBER COLLEGE- provide diploma in BUSINESS MANAGEMENT couse(IN TORONTO)
LAMBTON COLLEGE-provide post graduate certificate course in BUSINESS MANAGEMENT(SARNIA,ONTARIO)
which college is better for me?
is it possible to do unofficialy job in sarnia?

ADIL you want advice on what school to go to here’s mine – STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCHOOL. WORST SCHOOL EVER. I ONLY GAVE THEM A 1 STAR RATING BECAUSE YOU HAVE TO, THIS SCHOOL DOES NOT EVEN COME CLOSE TO GETTING HALF A STAR. I am currently enrolled in Chemical Production & Power Engineering Technology at Lambton College (cost almost $10,000/year for 3 years) my transcript had a 4.0 grade average and I got a 93% overall mark on university grade physics,so I think I know what I’m talking about. First of all I didn’t get any info. at the beginning of the year because they did not have my address(which was on the O.S.A.P website, the ontario colleges website, and I went in to tell them myself, as well as e-mailing it to the registrar & they still didn’t get it) the Co-op promises are all bullshit like the other student said 1 or 2 students in the whole school might get a co-op and only after they tongue someone’s a*****e, the rest get gas station entry level jobs. I ordered my OES textbooks (which is the most important cost $750 alone) on Sept.1’st & did not get them until Nov.1’st! which caused me to lose work & marks. O.S.A.P loan did not come in for a whole month which caused me to lose more work & marks, work was constantly being assigned on defective websites that do not even allow you to see what you need to do causing yet again more lost work & marks (example optimal resume is worth 25% of a credit, what they failed to tell me was that it only works on computers at the college which caused me to lose again 25% of a credit since I tried to do it on my laptop at home), teachers would not even give simple yes or no answers to questions regarding deadlines & where to get the info. you need(neither would the counsellors)and the teachers actually started harassing me making fun of me like some 12 year old trying to be cool because i did not have the info. that they refused to give me – found out after 2 months that I am supposed to go to library during one of the SCHEDULED BREAKS to do a multi-sim class which caused alot of missed work & marks, the O.S.A.P loan was only for 14 grand and costs totalled 11 grand leaving you with a measley 3 grand to live off of for a year, students were sickening in their childishness – better be able to afford A.D.I.D.A.S if you know what i mean (which I say is pretty fucking elementary), I feel like I’ve been conned out of 15 grand & destroyed my future because of this rediculous bullshit school. I went to Sheridan college in Brampton last year and it was not like this at all (only reason why I came back was because the apartment that I was supposed to rent was given to someone else and I got sick of sleeping in the woods), there was constant runarounds at both schools but that was it, Lambton College has alot more running around and constant continuing problems I went from being a 4.0 student to just barely passing mainly because of A COMPLETE LACK OF INFO. ADIL you asked for advice STAY AWAY. P.S I forgot to mention my schedule it looks like an 8 year old put it together – 1 class 3 hour break, 1 class 2 hour break, 1 class another 2 hour break, etc.(which alot of people don’t realize wastes every minute of my day and causes me to only be able to sleep once every 3 nights). The counsellors refused to fix that as well and on top of it all I got rent to pay. It is simply impossible LAMBTON COLLEGE IS DESIGNED TO MAKE YOU FAIL. I am telling anyone & everyone willing to listen STAY AWAY FROM LAMBTON COLLEGE. I’ve scheduled an appointment with my lawyer to see if anything can be done about this. It is by far the worst experiance in my life. I would have been better off sleeping in the woods and going to Sheridan.

Hey SHREYA arent u current employed by the college liek Do reality check hoe many itp student got coop after the bullshit promises the College has made them. i think about 10 the rest had do do it by them selfs and most of them got jiobs but just min wages in a field that required only 10 grade pass (gas station work)

This is for PATEL the only reason they are so nice to International students is mainly cause we have helped them get licence to print money with what we kids pay as fees. I am referring to the courses. They do not teach anything however will test u on everything I do not know what program u are in but bud if u say ITP i know how u guys pass and if Open that up many of u might just have take a F in your classes. Plus PATEL nothing personal if had choice I be else where. Just cant say nothing in the classes or to teacher cause as they say here no one give it f**k cause they have your money now. And another thing bud talk to the local students and see what they learn in the programs and see if they have to get all the info them self of are they provided it cause but I bet u anything that they dont like it most of my class mates are local student and they feel its cash grab too. The college is cash grab thats all it is. I have advised my brother a sister not to come here u must be in different program or in program that has teacher that care but in mine they are really ignorant on what learning means. teacher should get a teaching degree if the teach at any level of education cause this is stupidity. I even have email response from teacher stating that am jut the marker not the make of the program deal with. I Just simplified it but they have been more polite in the way the worded it. Lambton College is a college the needs to be shut down
I am current student at Lambton it by far the worst educational institute. Would rather be dead then attended the college the fees are too much. this is mainly because not a single lab works properly, nor does any manule have instruction that relate to what are labs are. Lab instructors have no clue where items are kept. I personal have spent an entire lab trying to fix equipment just to conduct my lab. This college has lot of problems and will never resolve them the administrative staff does not care one bit. Its is not a College but is a front for a retail system implemented to make money. I could go on about more but i feel that i be wasting my time cause seem like our government does not care and ounce. Very dishonest staff.

This school is absolutely pathetic. If you’re not in Paramedics, Fire, or Police don’t bother coming here because frankly the teachers just dont give a s**t. Everything I’ve learned in this school has been common sense. DO NOT COME HERE!!! Sarnia is a dump of a town with nothing to do. Lambton College youtube video hypes the school up so much but they are lying to you!! DON’T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID!!!
too many run arounds from department to department. very inefficient and faculty members need better people skills when interacting with others (especially the students). most college faculty members (especially the full-time teachers) are in it for the money especially the deans, and faculty members (especially the full-time teachers). they treat students like little kids, and when you need assistance of any kind, there so rude, short, and they make judgemental statements about students (especially people who have learning challanges), lack empathy towards students. the employers they bring to lambton, are just their buddies and therefore, many employers are very rude to the students who ask them questions about jobs. they care too much about raising their good reputation where they advertise 91% of Lambton grads get jobs within 6 months of graduation. False Advertising! Also, they brought a fashion business program. in fact, why don\’t they take the time to put extracurricular activities for students and their very unsupportative to students who want to start up clubs and groups that interest students. plus, we have 0 clubs and groups here at lambton compared to 2 at St. Clair College: Chatham Campus were at least they have a wellness club, and a music band and Chatham has a population of 40,000. we need a better administration and more experienced faculty who care about their students. i understand not all faculty members need to be painted on the same brush because there are some that do a good job for students and i understand not all faculty members have time to be advisors for clubs and groups, but at least they should give proper procedures on clubs and groups to expand our learning. if Lambton College wants to show that they provide world-class education for the real world, they MUST allow extracurricular activities to take place such as clubs related to the college programs. furthermore, they need to be more supportative of atlethic students who are taking time out of their busy schedules to join cross country, basketball, soccer, etc. i have to give kudos to the atlethics department for keeping their extracurricular activities and for also encouraging students to sign up for intermurals even though many students have other obligations like jobs, careers, and many other obligations. i once learned that its better to be a leader then a follower, however, in this case, they need to become followers in providing more educational options for university students, co-ops, extracurricular activities, clubs, groups, etc. however, in order for them to become leaders, the administration must be open and accountable for students education and for not being in the business to make money. they need to provide opportunities equally for all of its students.
