Do not come to SLU. It is as simple as that. They have no real concept or desire to live by their own standards of “helping others”. The Administration is commonly refereed to as one of the most corrupt in the College business and every dealing I have had with them seems to prove it. They with held over 6K in my account that was derived from student loans, not returning the money to me. I needed it to cover the overly expensive housing on campus but didn’t have to use any on schooling due to a ROTC scholarship. With that in mind, they stated that since I didn’t use it on my schooling I couldn’t receive it back in payment and with held it until I had my Commander call and leave them a lovely voice mail.
The teachers are nice, but never expect to get anything done with your Counselors. I got pushed back a semester because my counselor “forgot” to add a class in, and this is an epidemic across the school.
If you want a night life don’t come here, the only people that go out are Frats or sororities, and they normally just stay to the local bars.
Basically just don’t come here.
