Stark State has become the BIGGEST scam school! I never had any real problems with Stark State until recently when they changed their student loan policy. They decided to not send student loan checks until half way through the semesters. And for me I am a single mom, who can only work one day a week because of daycare hours and my class schedule. And that money is important to me. Especially when books are over $100 a piece. And the loan helped pay for those books, I couldn’t afford otherwise. And over spring they added on $300 for a class i took in 2010 and had passed. They said i dropped the class and owe them for dropping it. Well I got my grades and everything from that class. But they said it was a computer error and that I did drop it. Trust me I know i took the class it even shows on my account under their website that I passed it, but couldn’t take summer classes till it was paid. Not even an hour after I paid that $300, did it show I owed an other $140. I called them and asked what it was for they said it too was apart of the money i owe for the class i dropped. Then they took it off until I went to pay a deposit to be able to stay in my summer classes summer classes (that I didn’t have to pay last year) and the next day that 140 was back up there only they took the 50 off of that amount so now I can’t finish my summer classes unless I pay 90, plus another 50 for the deposit and then they asked for another 135.75 but that doesn’t go towards any classes they said it was to show “good faith” towards the school. More like extra cash in their pockets. And I had gotten on again and they added 5 new charges at $20 a piece for fees i never even heard of before. (Would of given all 0 stars if i could of)
