My Experience
I am student of university of Ruhuna faculty of engineering since 2010. It is Grate University for engineering education. Because the lectures are strictly observing exams & practical sessions. And also we have learned minimum four years. We can select three different engineering fields. There are civil engineering, electrical engineering & mechanical engineering
FIELD SELEKTING
Normally two hundred students registered for a year. First year they have to learn all three fields. In this year they have to face two exams. From these exam results they can select their field. After the field selecting we learn only our field.
TRAININGS
In these four years we have to do two trainings in two different engineering work shops. We have to train all six month. Our first training is end of the second year. We have to train three months. After first training we have to learn another year to go to second training. It is also three months training.
ACADEMIC
We have to learn four academic years. First year we have to learn all three fields. In second & third years we have to learn one of the three fields. In final year we specified engineering field
SPECIFIC FIELDS
• Marine engineering
• Computer engineering

• Manufacturing engineering
• Thermal engineering
• Mechatronic engineering
• Automobile engineering
Like that we can specified those engineering field
EXTRACURRICULAR
• Sports
In first year we have fresher’s sport meet. It is started at January. But there are only field events. After ending fresher’s sport meet we have faculty sport meet in each year. Normally it begins March. But sometimes it started April
MY IDEA’S
• University of ruhuna is Grate University for education.
• Good for Extracurricular and sports events but difficult to go to national level
• University of ruhuna have grate laboratory’s workshops and good Library facilities
• There are on any politics inside the university
• There are good qualified professors but less numbers
In engineering faculty there is only one professor. In Sri Lanka professor’s salary is low. Then they are doing other jobs
• This is very beautiful university. University is near to the beach.
In holidays we visited polhena beach and get some fun with friends. Our friends and I like to swim the all the day
• Most popular degree program is engineering degree program. The popularity of degree programs are depending on job market. In this days popularity listed bellow

Normally in one room more than four students are live. It is very interesting thing live together
University of ruhuna is very interesting and happy full learning place I ever visit.
