  • I am in the process of dropping the vet tech program. I had conflict with one of the instructors during class. I informed her that I could not see the material due to the task bar being up. I asked her if she could minimize that so I could see as other students had also stated they couldn’t see. She proceeded to tell me that you cannot through the moodle link to vital source. I informed her that it’s no different than our accounts and she should be able to. When I explained how to do so she clicked everything but the right button. As a instructor you should be able to navigate the program you’re using. It had recently been updated however they should have had a training day for the instructors. When I told her to keep moving her curser to the left she stated that I had an attitude. She addressed this in front of the entire class saying that I was being rude and there was no need to yell. I most definitely was not yelling. She then continued to explain that the program is about professionalism, which addressing the situation should have been done after class one on one. I find her to be unprofessional and she should practice what she preaches. I was called into the deans office after this class and he asked me to give my side and type up a report. They treated the situation as if I had a physical altercation with someone. Instead of studying for my next classes weekly quiz I was required to do that. I left for the day. I did a follow up meeting with the dean and was read Dana’s (the instructor) report. She stated that I was screaming and yelling at her when she didnt “do as I said to do”. Stated that I was a bully and that I had verbally questioned her position there as an instructor. She had an issue with me from the first day of that class and I’m unsure as to why. After Dr. Sattelmaier left the position it went to s**t. I do not recommend this program to anyone who is thinking about attending. The first day of Dana’s class she asked if anyone had prior experience with equine and stated that she knew one of the other students did. After class I went to explain that I did since she asked during class. She replied to the information about my past experiences with equine with “mhm”. I’d like to make it known that she was the reason I dropped out. Another student had mentioned to me after this incident that she felt uncomfortable asking questions during her class due to her making her feel stupid for asking. As a teacher your job is to make students feel able to ask questions because that’s how you learn. After this I absolutely question her position there. I think it’s sad that I had to leave the program due to negativity from an instructor. It was my lifelong dream to work in the veterinary medical field since I was 7 years old. That never changed and I never considered another career path until this and that should say everything about this college.

  • Seems to have mildly improved in recent years-a small list of Ohio schools will now take transfer credits (but good luck finding anything related to your program) and some teachers now offer tutoring, but the attendance policy is still rediculous, and they now happily insist you cannot wear anything but your uniform, because “thats how it is in the real world”-that means no jackets or hoodies no matter the weather, no jewelry at all, nails must by x-length, and nothing in your hair but a headband or pony tail or you’ll be told to leave the class and take a zero. Most everything is done online, but at least half the class won’t be able to get a connection on any given day. The campus computers are either non-functioning, filthy, or both. There’s a recent obsession with preventing cheating, which means you get *one* review of online tests, and cannot talk with classmates outside of class-including off school grounds-without risking a zero. Many of the vet tech rooms have been turned into nursing rooms, leaving the vt students with all of three dedicated rooms including the animal lab. The hands on labs are still a joke. The library/student lounge is gone, and the “cafeteria” is both tiny and noisy.

Most of the good teachers have left, the rest are perfectly willing to leave in the middle of a lab to go eat lunch in their office, or say things like ‘I haven’t touched a cow in more than five years, so we’re learning this together!’. Even the vet tech program director left in the middle of a term without so much as a word. To their credit, *most* of the staff and a good number of teachers are pretty great and seems to be hampered by idiotic administration more than anything, but they’re leaving in a sort of constant flow and being replaced by asshats.

They still accept anyone and everyone, and classes seem to be made for the lowest common denominator-lots of remedial basket weaving and lots of being treated like a particularly dim toddler. Its a diploma mill, and a lot of the area clinics are well aware of it. I wouldn’t say run far, run fast-it’s the only option in the area now-but I would say don’t pin all your hopes on this place, and be ready to take those offered transfers just to have a different school on your resume.

  • Very unprofessional!!! Instructors are unprofessional and do not care if you fail or pass. Very unorganized and broken lecture. Rude!!! discrimination is high and racism too. Do not go here!!!!!!!! REPEAT DO NOT GO HERE!!!! They lie to you. These “diplomas” are jobs not careers!!!! MA program is 10 months but LPN is 12 mos student services do not inform the long term benefits of each program. High debt and programs are being faded out or eliminated. No help finding jobs after graduation. HIGH DEBT for a diploma or “degree” that pays low if not lower than current factories. Admission rep didn’t know difference between MA (medical assistant) and LPN (licensed practical nurse) how hard is it to explain? Students ask questions and made to feel inferior or stupid. LPN program is so unorganized and outdated. They print out “updated” material but second guess themselves teaching to students. Vet tech program consist of inexperience teachers and rude as well. MA program students appearance is terrible and students look depress. School doesn’t transfer only to select schools such as Spring Arbor or Phoenix Online. Why not tell students ahead of time? Trapped environment all the school cares about is money and appearance. Private school have special rules- This school is accreditation by ACICS research!!!!!! As of Dec 2016 didn’t DOE deny schools accreditation through ACICS and allows Stautzenberger 18mo to find another accreditation…. DO NOT GO HEREEEEEEEEEEEE! RUN RUN AWAY!!!! Waste of time and energy. You will regret this forever. Can’t even submit this REVIEW without submitting an email. Hmm sounds funny

  • As a Alumi , I regretted I went here. I hope you guys read this because this but from someone who has graduated from this school……Stay AWAY! Graduated back in 2016 with my Associates Degree in Banking and Finance and still after one year I can not find a job.Now they don’t offer my degree anymore and still can’t find a job that makes more then what I make now. Also all the career service people have ignored me after asking for help. Now I’m 32k in debt and luckily have some stuff going for me ( but nothing to do with my degree).I hope they pull an ITT Tech and go under so my loans can be forgiven.

  • Horrible School! Ghetto students! Only 5 weeks to learn then exam time. 2 and 3 chapters of home work in one week, then you have a test. The day before the test they practically give you all the answers. Not competitive learning at all. Most people don’t do their homework or come to class and they expect you to give them the answers the teachers don’t actually check the homework and if you miss a day in class they deduct points from your grade. The teachers aren’t real teachers, their either former medical assistants or LPNs there is not enough time to do clinicals because, they talk too much about nothing and also students have lots of side conversations and eating in class over the computers that never get cleaned!! The teacher teaches from a PowerPoint. You do not have the option of having a hard copy book so forget that! All books are E-books online. They don’t tell you that when you are signing up for school in the beginning, that if there’s a holiday and school is closed, you have to make up that missed day due to the holiday that Friday the following week. Also the up the prices for classes months down te road and mail you a paper saying classes went up. Then charge you for it.

  • It was exciting to register for school and start for me. I enrolled in their IT program back in 2015. Now I would not recommend this place to anyone. Well if you’re looking for an IT program they have now since cancelled it. I was told since I registered that I had to complete a diploma program, then I could re-register when that was completed to complete my associates. Now since it is time for me to be finishing my diploma part, I go to re-register and they have just cancelled the IT program all together. Telling me that I can transfer to another college. That is not the case, no school will accept their credits! Not to mention about 20 weeks into my courses they change everything into small 5 week courses that give you only a third of the information you need to pass certification tests. This school is absolutely abhorrent!

    Overall Score: (1/5.00)
  • I loved this school when I first came registered in 2014. Now this college is a joke. I regret going to this school. They have lost so many teachers that ACTUALLY CARED. I have asked for tutoring multiple times and I was told NO. Because it is their lunch time and they have classes all week to teach. BLAH BLAH BLAH. It angers me because we PAY THESE TEACHERS SALARY and they CANNOT give you the time of day to help you. (Vet Tech Program ) I wish I had went somewhere else. Now that I only have a few classes left, I feel trapped in this school. I have taken classes that I payed for and they do not count towards this “new” program they put in place. So I am forced to take new classes and pay more out of my pocket. I feel like I have learned unnecessary information while given such little time to learn EVERYTHING they cram into 10 weeks, in reality you only get 8 weeks of study material and 2 weeks worth of exams. A friend of time is studying for the VTNE and hasn’t heard HALF of the stuff that is on the vet tech prep website. Although they say it helps you graduate faster, although in my opinion, you need more time than that to study. Now you don’t even get a weeks worth of a break before the next quarter. YOU GET THE WEEKEND and your classes start up the following week. You need a mental break from things and this does not help, especially since you do not get any breaks during your time here at school. I would NEVER recommend this school to anyone. They have pass/fail rates, which is the worst thing ever put in place. One quarter I got an A or B on every assignment and exam even the written Final exam and I missed the lab practical by a few points and that means you still fail the class and have to retake it. As for Career services, teachers, financial aid, the vet tech program director, and the campus president, ignore you, no matter how many times you leave an email, or a voicemail to call you back. This is unprofessional. This school is terrible, do not go here!!!

    Overall Score: (1.45/5.00)
  • Terrible school. DO NOT GO HERE!!!! I agree with everything everyone is saying plus some. I just had to argue with the vet tech program director for 3 days because they were trying to put me in a class I had already completed equivalents for. My schedule has been changed a total of 3 times now because of this. They do not know what they are doing and they do not care about you. Especially don’t enroll in vet tech program. They are in the process of switching everything and I’m not even 100% sure they’re accredited anymore. Every time a commercial for this place comes on I can’t help but laugh. Their information on their website is also incorrect as far as pass/fail rates for the VTNE and how classes are actually are conducted. They’ve made it sound so much better than it actually is. Theyre liars and scam artists. I repeat, DO NOT GO HERE. I’ll be looking into Tri-C. I had no idea there was another college around here that offered this program.

  • When I first started I was promised help for finding a job and in my time there, two different career advisers have been there and both have been not helpful and I still have not gotten a job. I have been there for some time now, and still no job, and the first one never helped, and the second, barely. I was promised and guaranteed so many other things, all of which have not come true and instead proven to be a lie. Do not fall for their sweet talking as I and so many others have.

    Overall Score: (2.09/5.00)
  • Would not recommend. The administration is a joke. They cannot stop changing the program, and the last program change has, to say the least, really done a number on my mental state. Ten weeks is not enough time, and really one week does not count since one is finals week, so really, nine weeks is not enough to learn what needs to be learned. There is no spring breaks, breaks between quarters – only a one week winter break. Memorial Day, Labor Day, and the Fourth of July are off but “need to be made up” which is bull crap. You don’t even have make up days in a job. They sometimes teach like 3-4 chapters a day, and test on it next week. I get so much homework, I sometimes don’t even know where to begin, either way, I know it will all take me at least one whole day’s time if not longer. You ask the administrative people questions, and only 1-2 of them out of the whole team knows what the hell is going on. There is not even a maintenance man at my school. BTW do you know new carpeting was put in, and because of this they treated everyone like 2yr old babies and restricted all drink and food in the class room (though they do not provide breaks between classes, not even a lunch break, no matter how long your day is) and even removed the garbage cans out of all rooms so we would not use them in th rooms for throwing awa food stuff and bottles, to try and stop us from eating and drinking. they also said no more animals in the room, even though I’m studying to become a vet tech, so their precious ugly carpeting wouldn’t get marked. Well all that was stopped when people began leaving garbage in the room, and then they gave us our cans back. animals have now been allowed back in the room too. They had money for carpeting but they let the one room be like 60 degrees for like 3-4 quarters before they put 4 heaters in it and fixed it. everything is so miss run, but I am just kind of trapped there, but I love the teachers. they are excellent, and would not want to give them up. they continuously get stressed to by the school and administrations stupidity.

  • DON NOT GO TO THIS SCHOOL. I went here for two years in the vet tech program and had to retake 3 classes. I dropped out and am now $30,000 in debt…i now go to Owens. For dental hygiene. The teachers are a******s and dont care if you fail. Wont even help you out after school. You not aloud to ask questions in class…they make you feel stupid. The program director doesnt give a s**t about you. Administration will convince you to stay at the school when you want to leave.. .the work load is insane….you learn a chapter one day and the next day you have a test over it. All the teachers read off a power point and dont actually teach. Also vet techs have to learn alot get treated like crap by veterinatians, work horrible hours and get paid a little under 30 grand in a clinical setting. To me thats not worth the $50-60,000 in debt. And most vet techs hate theyre jobs and change careers after a fee years. Oh and the school doesnt make sure your qualified to pass classes…you apply and your in. i had special needs kids in my classes…how in the hell does that happen.

    Overall Score: (1.72/5.00)
  • Teachers at this school do not allow you to ask questions. If you don’t get it the firs time…TO BAD. They even tell you this the very 1st day and you can’t complain to your advisor when your teacher is your advisro. There are a lot of complaints about this school and as you can see….THEY DON’T CARE….or else they would change.

    Overall Score: (0/5.00)
  • Horrible school. Terribly expensive. They have some good teachers but overall they treat you like a child and if you they don’t like you, it is really hard to pass any class. This school is a for profit private institution and very expensive. I attended there for 2 years and I did learn alot despite all the B.S. that goes on there. The Homework load is enormous, you have to really put alot of time into homewrok and I was only going part time. The Attendance policy is super strict better not miss ANY days or you really have to struggle to play catch up. Some credits Transfer Most do not.
Overall this School is NOT a Good Value compared to others.
I would NOT recommend this school to anyone at all.

    Overall Score: (1.54/5.00)
  • I went there and withdrew within the first semester because they where draining me dry. All they wanted was my money, it was almost impossible for me to work when i went to school full time. They didnt even give me options of night and day classes, they made my scheduled for me. they where pounding me with homework and exams to study for, most of the homework was on the computer. i bought 9 books and only used 4. They cram so much information into your brain in such a short amount of time you probably wont even remember it all (each semester is 11 weeks) PLUS the school does not transfer credits….so if you end up changing your mind your fucked. If you miss one assignment or test..you will be very close to failing. I did not like this school at all. It was too fast paced and too much money. I am now going to tri c and im able to choose my classes and pick out the best time for me. Also im learning a lot and i am actually remembering things because its not getting shoved in my head in such a short amount of time and im not trying to be 45,000 dollars in debt.
Each class for vet tech is 1,200 just so you know.
    my books with about 700

  • I so very much agree with Chris, Bobby and Anonymous. I find it hysterical that “malicious” is threatening to expose those who speak out on this site. Tell you what, I had no problem finding this site….I just Googled Stautzenberger College. So people DO read information on this site. The best way to find out about a school is to ask those who are already trapped there, like the students at Stautzenberger. Yes, credits cannot be transferred, thus you are
“trapped.” I won’t list all the problems there, because they have already been addressed by the people above, who really know. Malicious, Loser, Silly…you must be employees at
the school. Just wait..they fire the good employees. Each week we come in and another staff member is gone. I’m worried the school may close down and those enrolled will lose everything.
If you are in Administration and reading these messages, the above mentioned problems need to be changed. Radio and television ads will not keep Stautzenberger Breckville campus open.

I would recommend Tri-C as they have a great program and adults are treated with respect.

  • People do read these reviews!! DO NOT GO TO THIS SCHOOL!!!! I am $30,000 in debt and three years out.. I still do not have a job!! Career placement is a joke!! She will send you links to jobs that are online and in the local paper! No interviews, no leads that I cannot already find myself by simply looking online!! Half of my teachers were great, but the proof is in the job and I do not have one!! BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!

  • You might want to do some more research before enrolling in this college. The administrators only want your money. They allow students in that are not qualified to enter college – which ultimately affects you and your tuition. The administration will listen to any sob story and again that will end up affecting you and your education. The administration will make you buy every book because they get “reimbursed” for it….it doesn’t matter if you could find it somewhere else at a lower price! Beware.

    Overall Score: (1.63/5.00)
  • This school by far is the worst that I’ve attended! The staff is not fair and they chose favorites… If they don’t like you they make your stay there a living HELL! No refund checks available, and you have to pay out of pocket. I have even witnessed others being treated differently becasue of their nationality. Racism, is tolerated at this school. I suggest you look into your options before attending this college. You will be out of money and wasting time not to mention how miserable you’ll be. The majority of the professors do not help you they want to see you fail! Good luck and remember to do your research before chosing a college/institution.

    Overall Score: (1/5.00)
  • Non transferrable credits. Instructors and staff play favorites with students. No clinical experience until your last 3 quarters. VERY expensive! Treat students like children with attendance policies. Miss more than one class per quarter, someone better have died and even so, your missed class still may not be excused. If not then prepare to be dropped from the class or have your letter grade drop one grade. Can count on one hand the really great instructors here. Student “support” is a joke. If you have an incapable instructor, you are pretty much on your own, if that instructor refuses to help you outside of class, which most refuse to make any time for students who need help, again you are on your own. There is really no tutoring available. Learn what you love? You will be questioning what you love once you reach the end of the program, if you make it that far.

    Overall Score: (1/5.00)
  • I am a vet tech student. The school has one of the strictest attendance policies I have ever seen. If you are absent on a day of a test, unless you are admitted to the hospital or in the military, you get a zero for that test. There is no student lounge. There is a place that they call the student lounge but it is just a bunch of Sunday school tables and chairs. The book store doesn’t sell used books and the book buy back is from a different company than the school bookstore so the money back is lower than others. Staff routinely tell students “how it is” in public (conversations that should be in private) and have no problem making fun of students. This school does nothing to build community but encourages cliques. I do like my professors, the level of detail is appropriate to the profession, and it is clean.

    Overall Score: (2/5.00)
  • do not attend this school its a joke! they tell you they will teach you one thing then teach you something completely irrelivant to your course. They don’t give you your student refund check back till the semesters almost over, they promise to send it on a certain day but never do. They switch teachers in the middle of the term too! they also make you buy all your books upfront without allowing you to get them elsewhere then you end up not using half the books and the teachers have no idea why you even purchased them since they have never heard of them either. Dont waste your money or time!
